Cheap moonlight network cameras? by
BluntChisel[_2_]
Hello -
I'm looking for a cheapish network camera with some ability to see
landscapes under moonlight or even starlight. The hills I want to see are
kilometres away, so IR illumination won't help.
8 years ago I used Phillips Toucam USB webcams with CCD sensors for this
task, and they were able to...

Cheap network pan & tilt cameras? by
Abe
So far it appears Panasonic sells the most inexpensive network cameras
that can be remotely controlled (pan and tilt). Optical performance
isn't all that great - like a 10 lux minimum. Are there some other
choices out there?

Clicksmart + 256 mb CF - card doesn't fit! by
jason
The Clicksmart i bought from Half.com (Bad choice -- don't do that)
came w/o a card. So I bought a 256 MB CF card. Lo and behold, the
card seems too thick to fit into the Clicksmart 510. I'm new to these
cameras, I figured all CF cards are the same size / shape?
Thanks for any advice

CMOS Cam IR Illumination by
Trespasser[_2_]
Hi,
I've got an IP camera with a tiny CMOS camera like the one you find in many
Webcams. I'd like to run it at an aquarium site for 24 hours a day, but in
total darkness at night.
If I add standard 850nm IR LED illumination for night vision, what happens
to the quality of the picture? Do I get...

CMOS vs CCD chip question? by
Radio Man
I was told the only advantage that a ccd chip
has over a cmos chip is it's superior light
sensitivity. Is the resolution of a webcam
dependent on the gathering of more light?
I assumed the quality of the lens is a major
factor rather than the type of chip?

Hello,
I'm having slight problems finding a program, or another way, to adjust
the colors of my webcam. It's an annoying greenish color that I'm trying
to get rid of.
Does anyone have a program or tool in mind that can help me?

Color depth of Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 by
Nicholas Pedersen
Hi there
I am considering to buy a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000.
However, it is difficult to find detailed technical specifications.
Specifically, is the color depth 16-bit or 24-bit?
Any other comments on the camera is welcome too.
