FredEX
I've been chasing my ass on this for better than two weeks and I

program. This happens...

Not powering up by
John
I started having what seemed like an overheating problem with my
GA-7VAXP/XP2000 system: crashing after a few minutes, then refusing to
boot up again until it cooled down. I tried a new HSF and got the CPU
temp right down but this didn't solve the problem. I 'underclocked'
the board from 133 MHz...

problem, but now all I get is a quick burst from the PS fan and then
nothing.
When this happens the RAM...

SP2 865/875 Microcode Industry Failure? by
Ron Reaugh
A very interesting thing has come up regarding SP2 and the motherboard
industry in general. An anomaly was detected in the installation of XP SP2
on Intel 865/875 chipset mobos. After SP2 install most all such mobos from
most all mfgs would HANG on reboot.

GA-7N400 Pro2 shutting down too far? by
jpsga
Found this:
The ATX format System Boards use a 20 pin two row power connector that is
quite different to the traditional AT (or Baby AT) format System Board.
The ATX specification provides for "soft power down" modes where the power

7vaxp ultra f4 v 1.2 cpu temp by
J
A client's machine
7vaxp ultra f4 v 1.2, 2600+ with stock AMD HSF.
The bios pc-health page reports 49 degrees for system temp and 49 degrees
for the CPU.
The case is open, the power supply is out.
I suspect this is not a correct reading.

Bios update..GA7N400L by
Mo
Hi,
I have a GA-7N400-L M/B with F7 Bios.. when I check the Gigabyte site it
shows latest update is F11.
When I use Ebios I see the update as F10. I have not updated.
Has anyone any idea why this happens? Is it worth while updating my current
Bios?
