CROSS :: GA-8KNXP bugz and bytes by
test
Can someone tell me if I can access ITE (GigaRAID) BIOS? I have it set on
ATA in the main BIOS and then it just performs an autodetect of my HDDs plug
to it... BUT it takes it a long time to run detect, and when it does that
EVERY time I reboot it annoys me.
Did someone find a solution for that?

Unknown device by
The Wizard of Odd
In my hardware manager i have an "unknown device" (under Other Devices)
with an exclamation point. Clicking on Properties shows me that there is no
driver, but the location is "on VIA Standard PCI to ISA Bridge". The device
status is "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)". ...

GA-8KNXP is it any good? by
Vincent Poy
Yeah, the ITE RAID controller was the one I was talking about being slow.
I think that's the only drawback for the Gigabyte motherboard.
On the RAID stuff, is it possible to like install the OS and stuff in non-
RAID mode and then add a identical drive and turn RAID on without
destroying the...

GA7-NNXP - Is it possible to use all four mem slots?? by
Pete
There was a review of the GA7-NNXP in the current issue of Micromart
magazine, here in the UK. Although their reviews cannot easily be
described as "in-depth", one paragraph did happen to catch my eye as I am
seriously considering spending my hard earned money on a NNXP.

Help with 8KNXP problems... by

This is almost a mirror of a post I made about two weeks ago, subject
"Memtest86 errors" (or similar).
To make a long story short, I installed a second gig of RAM like you, and
Memtest86 v3 showed errors only at the very end of Test 5, and the results
were not consistent. Sometimes there would be...

in for a few seconds does shut it down. Action is the same with two
different power supplies. Is this a defect, or am I missing a...

GA-7DXE and 1.2 Ghz Athlon by

Will a 1.2 Ghz Athlon (Thunderbird) work OK with a GA-7DXE motherboard. I
will have some 2100 DDR RAM also. Anything wrong with this combination, and
will the DDR RAM work at 266Mz or will it be pegged at 133Mz. I used to
have the Athlon on an ABIT KT7A which I blew up by mistake. I have had...
