Tech Support in Manila by
Gary
Last night, I practically told the guy that I was going to fly to
Manila and stangle him. It took me over an hour of buying into his
non-sensicle troubleshooting before he would send me out a replacement
hard drive under warranty. Doh!! I told him it was a bad hard drive in
the first 2 minutes of...

taking a desktop through airport security by
Tom Scales
Are you sure the airline will allow it? I think they would be very
concerned about a large piece of electronic equipment that they cannot see
in operation. I would call them and make sure first.

Problems installing new ATI drivers - help! by
Jamie Parker
I went to the www.ati.com page today to download the new Catalyst 3.5
drivers for my Radeon 9700 Pro. I downloaded both the Display Driver file
and the ATI Control Panel file to my desktop.
I had deleted my old ATI drivers and ATI control panel under Add/Remove
Programs, rebooted, and was ready...

Creative Diagnostics Agent?? by
Greg Smithers
Ahhh... Thanks guys. That makes sense, and would explain why the Agent was
not pre-installed by Dell when I first got my system. The reason it is
running now, is because I had to uninstall and reinstall the Creative
software (as directed by Dell Support) to solve a problem that developed as
a...

I need some advice on reformatting my hard drive by
Jamie Parker
Due to a botched video driver update, I may need to completely reformat my
drive and start over from scratch. But I've never done this procedure
before.
1) Can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do to reformat my hard drive?
Do I need to make a bootable floopy disk, or can I boot straight from...

Uninstalling programs in XP by
RD
How good is the add/remove programs in XP? In Win98 I had always used Norton
Cleansweep to monitor and log installations automatically, and it was handy to
remove programs. However, with my 8300, Cleansweep cannot be used for such,
since it says it can't work with "dual processor machines",...

How long does it take for the checks to reach you by mail?
The website said my check was mailed out on the 3rd of June and still don't
have it yet. I wrote them an email and they even gave me the check number.
Still no check. Getting worried.

IF the 45ns sticks are initialized first. If the 40s light up first

Call Dell's corporate offices at 512-671-4751. Ask for the office of the
