GA-7N400 Pro 2 Rev 2 / 7N400-L DIMM 1&3 no go by
cyclone
FWIW a friend and I have found an issue with my 7N400 Pro2 Rev 2 and his
7N400-L when trying to run 2 x 512mb sticks of PC3200 in dual channel in
DIMM slots DDR1 & DDR3. Very unstable.
If you use slots DDR1 & DDR4 both boards run solid as a rock in dual
channel.
Experienced this when using a...

FI BIOS suck! by
Richard Dower
I had to go back to the FH BIOS, please note you must flash both the main
and backup BIOS when reverting.
I tried a fresh install hoping that would help the bootup lag...no help at
all. It is without doubt a BIOS issue as the FH BIOS, which i have now
reverted to, work perfectly fine.
When i...

GA-7VRXP and PC2700 DDR memory by
Simon Elliott
I've just tried adding a 512MB stick to my board.
Couldn't get it to work, either on its own or with the 256MB of PC2100
already present. Tried both performance and fail-safe settings. The
manual suggests it should work but implies performance could unreliable.
Has anyone else managed to get a...

Squeeky
Anyone try the new BIOS (FI) for the Rev. 2.0 8KNXP?
I put it in and couldn't get my machine to boot properly (so I

My boot order is (1) floppy, (2) CD-ROM, (3) hard drive. I have 2
Plextor ATAPI CD-ROM drives.
With the FH BIOS, all is well. If there is a bootable...

I'll try a fresh...

Recovering from Xpress Recovery by
FelixC
Just a note for anyone wanting to remove Xpress Recovery from their
hard drive, so you won't have to repeat the same research as I did:
I experimented with Gigabyte's Xpress Recovery utility (included in
the BIOS of my 7N400Pro2 mb) shortly after I installed my new WinXP
system. It's supposed to...

Where to download 7n400 Pro2 latest BIOS? by
Dan
As header, the Gigabyte website seems to be worse than useless with
lots of broken links and 404 errors. I can't find a site that hosts
the files themselves, they usually link to the (non-existant) Gigabyte
site.
I built my system yesterday using this motherboard. Solved the usual
problems (thanks...
