Best printer for B&W by
Jack
I want to purchase an "affordable" printer strictly for B&W photo printing
and am not certain whether pigment-based printers such at Epson's C84 or
dye-based printers such as Canon's i860 would be best for that purpose. I
like the concept of pigment inks because of their stability, but have...

for this? I know that certain companies make special inks just for this
purpose, but i think they only work in epson printers. is epson the way to go
or can the the new canon's 850i/950i handle this job as well? thanks...

Best printer for big ( > 100 ) volume of envelopes ??? by
Jim Howe
I have a NEC 1800 which works OK, at least on standard
gummed C-10 envelopes (though not on self-sealing envelopes)
but it has a limit of 5 to 7 envelopes in the tray.
I have to nursemaid the thing, it's a pain. Plus it is
reluctant to feed the first envelope off the packet of
5 or 6 that you put...

Best printer for Carbonless Paper, 3 Part by
Ryan[_6_]
I just bought a Lexmark Forms Printer 2580n 9pin printer to print on 3
Part Carbonless Paper. When I first purchased the printer the print
quality was fine. This printer is heavly used. 4 months later the
print quality is now crap. I've replaced the ribbon twice already.
Even after a fresh...

Best Printer for Occasional Use by
Al
Are there some models of printers that can clean the printheads better
than others? I have a Canon i350 and have used up almost all of my ink
in the process of cleaning the printheads and with wasted printouts
from clogged heads. I print about once a week and the air is dry in
the winter.
Is any...

Best printer for photos? ? ? by
Ray
I'm unclear whether there's a difference between a standard inkjet color
printer which will produce photos and a special printer for photos.
I need an inexpensive printer that will give me prints of about the same
quality I get at the kiosks in drugstores, etc.
Any suggestions welcome.

best printer for post cards by
insaprsr
I need to print a bunch of standard 3.5" x 5.5" US Post Office pre-stamped
post cards (yes, I am aware that I could print 8.5 x 11's and cut em and
stamp em, but that's not what I need).
Not all printers can handle that size. I want a printer that will do the job
quickly and inexpensively, without...

Best printer for printing cards? by
News
Can anyone recommend a bulletproof printer solution that can print on card
size stock, such as 4" x 4"? I have to print directly onto pre-cut card
sizes and doing it with my high end Xerox and HP Netowrk printers is a
menu-nightmare that usually ends in an error message. Almost all printers
claim...

Can anyone tell me what is a good printer that accepts the cheap
refills at the same time? I know most printers can accept refills but

Best printer that can use OEM ink? by
Ar Q
My beloved EPSON Color Stylus won't print yellow any more. It has served me
well in the past 10 years. It is time for me to buy a new color printer. My
only requirement is that I can refill with OEM ink. I know that many new
printers use computer chip to prevent people from doing that....

best refill/bulk ink for canon by
I've spent several days researching the various bulk/refill options for
Canon printers. From the various posts I've read, compatible cartridges are
not the way to go, but refilling is.
In the US, what provides the best match to OEM inks, and which provides the
best value?
Target printer is the...
