B & W Greyscale Images: Convert to RGB Before Printing or No? by Alan Smithee
I want to print B&W images from B&W negs to my Epson printer. I have been scanning negs as 16-bit grayscale using my scanning software, doing my levels, dust, contrast and sharpness adjustments in 16 bit grey also. When I eventually go to print something out it is safer to convert the image to...

B & W Printer/Copy Machine by [email protected]
My wife needs a small printer that can do page-at-a-time copying. Which small laser printers might be good? Color is not required or desirable (we have a canon i9100 on the network). This can be a dedicated printer on her machine only. Usage is about 20 pages a day. Thanks. Jim

B + W printer for kids homework by Stumpy
I'm tired of buying so much ink because of the way my offspring edit homework . They print out a report, fix a couple of problems, then print it out, make it look better, print it out, etc., etc. I had been using a Canon BC-02 cartridge on a BJC-1000 which is ~$24/31mls of ink. I changed to my...

B&W Laser printer suggestion by Martin Gerner
Hi, I'm just in the process of buying a new printer, and am mainly looking at a black & white laser printer, preferably a multi-function one with scanner and "photocopying" possibilities. As I'm a student, the cost is an issue. Which ones would you suggest? Are there any specific models that...

B&W A3 by milesm
I'm looking for a reliable (no clogging) A3 printer that will get less than daily use and in which I am looking particularly for good B&W performance. The Epson 2100 and the Canon 9950 are two possibles. Grateful for any views, particularly those based on experience over a reasonable period...

B&W only printers by Alan Browne
Girlfriend's father is about to splurge on a laser jet. We're trying to get him to chill. His need is to print statements and records (banking, investments, etc) from web pages, e-mailed statements. He is determined not to have color. So, what represents the best value in the low price range of...

B&W Photo Printer by Burtron
Hello- I'm just bought & returned an HP 7960 PhotoSmart Printer soley because of the way it guzzled ink. Unfortunately, it produced excellent black & white photos, as well as color. I was about to purchase the Canon i900D, until I read about how a professional photographer said in a review that you...

B&W Photo Printing by Cougar
I am looking to buy a new photo printer. Most have high resolution for color printing, but I need one that will also print out quality B&W photos. Would I setup the printer for "color printing" even though the photo is B&W to get the higher resolution? I am looking at possibly buying the HP 7760...

B&W printing from the Epson R1800 /800 by Rob
Has anyone sorted out the R800/1800 black and white printing so as to get good B&W prints? Printing through Photoshop. I have copied some old photo's and the prints are not very good as compared to wet printing and sepia toning. Any recommendations as to a work path. Thanks

B/W = Blue by Larry
I have an Epson Stylus C86. Prints great in colour but when trying to print B/W, the photo comes out with a heavy blue cast to it. Doesn't matter if the photo was shot in B/W or adjusted in Paint Shop Pro - they all come out blue. Any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks Larry
