Linksys WVC54G behavior by
DanR
Does anyone here own the Linksys WVC54G Internet camera?
I am interested in knowing if you are experiencing the same issues as I am and
if these can be considered normal.
My activity indicator on the camera is lit all the time. It flashes during
actual activity but when there is no activity the...

USB 2.0 Question by
puns
Are the true USB 2.0 webcams (Creative Ultras) significantly better than
the USB 1.0 variety? Has
anybody actually made comparisons as opposed
to the advertising claims?

Logitech ClickSmart by
[email protected]
I have some questions about the Logitech ClickSmart series, I've seen
some at a very good price...
1) Does their microphone function like the ones in a regular QuickCam
messenger - basically to chat over Messenger, will I need a dedicated
microphone or not?
2) Will they work under USB +5v power...

cctv cable questions by
FireBrick
Does anyone have a source for cctv cable?
I mean the good RG59 Siamese with the integrated twisted pair for power.
I don't really need a 1000 foot spool.
I'd love it already made up with bnc connectors
I need a 70 foot length.
Please and thank you.

Max CableLength by
Wayne Wengert
What is the maximum length to run a RG6 cable to a camera? I want to install
a camera in a kennel building that is about 200' from the house. The
building is steel so a wireless camera won't work. Is there any special type
of RG6 (or equivalent) that is best for underground runs?
TIA

Philips SPC 300NC sound recording by
Keith
Nice webcam but whenever I launch the VLOUNGE interface, the default sound
recording device switches from microphone to CD.
I then have to go into the audio settings and reconfigure the microphone as
the default otherwise there is no sound. It's a pain and I was wondering if
anyone else has come...

U-Bob
I have two cams working fine on my WinXP PC. What I'm wanting to do is
change which is primary and which is secondary. I notice that when
using online broadcasting, it defaults to the primary cam, where as
programs such as NetMeeting allow me to choose between the two cams.
Is there some way to...

sound activated surveillance? by
[email protected]
Hi group,
I've recently rescued an abused puppy from a shelter and suspect that
she is barking/howling when we are out of the house. The neighbors
haven't complained (yet) but I'd like to get a feel for how much noise
she is making. I've seen plenty of motion activated webcam systems
