Low Power Caches by
Patrick[_3_]
Hi
I am just doing some experiments with low power caches, called drowsy
caches. I am using
Hotleakage to simulate the behaviour of the cache. I am simulating a
datacache with 1024 lines each holding
64 bytes. The data array of the cache has a power consumption of 0.025
W if all lines are active....

Solid capacitors vs electrolytic...anyone with an opinion either way? by
The Lone Gunman
I'm posting to both NG's as there seems to be an awful lot of smart hardware
people here. I was reading one of my PC-related magazines on an airplane
the other day when I came across an "infomercial-article" from Gigabyte
touting their newest and greatest mobo's using all solid capacitors. ...

Why Linux is worried now that Vista is harder to pirate! by
Yousuf Khan
Maybe it shouldn't surprise anyone that this is a comment from a ZDNet
reader. But this reader is conviced that Linux runs *under* Windows, and
now that Windows is becoming harder to pirate, it's going to leave Linux
out in the cold. :)
Here's a discussion about Linux vs. Windows, which takes a...
