Iwill DU3160 controller on Gigabyte 1000MK problem by
Bubba
I have somehow odd problem with this combination. It seems impossible to
make this Iwill card work on first three PCI slots. Why, beats me, Google
haven't helped but I've tried it on two other boards (KT133A and KT400
chipset) and it works fine in slots higher than PCI 3.
What I've tried until now...

Mark
Hi all, recently I received a 2.4 Ghz CPU.
I was wondering if I can place this in my Gigabyte GA-8IDX motherboard.
I looked on the Internet and said motherboard max speed is 2 Ghz.
Now, to ask a stupid question, does anyone know what would happen if i
placed the CPU in my machine? Would the...

GA-7N400 Pro2 Rev 1 SATA Problem by
John Bissell
I was successfully running a single WD 36GB 10k RPM SATA drive as the boot
disk (set to "BASE") on my GA-7N400 Pro2 board (Rev 1) for several months.
Then it started to get flakey recognizing the drive when booting. Would take
a couple of reboots to get past detecting the drive and on to...

My front side bus is only running at 133MHz. How can I get it to it's

Ryan J. Paque
Okay, I'm trying to figure out why I can't run Prime95 for more than

I try to run anything greater than 1024x768x16.
Here's my system:
AMD Barton 3200+
Gigabyte GA-7N400-L

Poor customer service from Gigabyte by
ChrisB
In November, my GA-7DPXDW-P died on me. At first I was getting blue screens in Windows XP if I had more than 1 stick of RAM installed in the motherboard. Then after a short time, it refused to boot on me at all. I tested all the components, including the power supply, in another PC.
I called up...

I have a GA7N400 PRO 2. I installed two 80 gig SATA drives Raid 0. Problem
is, after I have installed XP and all my drivers and programs, I notice the
raid array is D: instead of C:.
I have an IDE 80 gig HD too. It is the system drive, although I never
intended for that to happen. Now I need to...

Make sure your PC is not plugged in when you do this.
Have you tested your ram with memtest86 from memtest86.org?
Is the CPU heatsink mounted correctly? Right way around? Correct application

My second mobo GA-8KNXP Ultra rev 2.0 died
I have to agree that it is probably underpowered, especially when we don't
know what video card you are using. It's too bad that guys like Greg
Vederman of PC Gamer magazine are still recommending 300W power supplies in
both low-end and mid-range...

Rudy Kube
I have a GA 7VT600 1394. AMD 3200+/400fsb. Is it better to let the mobo
recognize it automaticaly by setting SW-1 to off/auto or assign the speed
manualy in the bios? I'm having reboot/crash problems and I've pretty much
ran out of options. RMA'd the mobo & cpu. Installed new video card &...
