Graphics card with RGB out? by
-
So what the hell can I do?
I saw a cool gadget that takes an s-video in and then allows you to play out
via two or three scarts. Its possible and is a lot cheaper than a new
graphics card.

Actual hard drive space? by
Jethro
I notice there is always a great disparity between stated hard drive
capacity and actual usable capacity after formatting.
Is there a chart or other paper anywhere showing maybe comparisons of
this between drives, and maybe an explanation of why and how it
happens?
Thanks
Jethro

AMD Athlon 64FX first impressions by
Chris
Well today we received 2 NEW AMD CPU's, the Athlon 64FX and Athlon 64 3200+.
The mainboards were pre-production Gigabyte, GA-K8NNXP and GA-K8NNXP-940. A
good start CPU coolers fit like the P4 so the risk of damage when fitting is
much lower. We found that the N-vidia FX5900 (Asus) video cards did...

Get the Serial Number with Visual Basic by
Michael Wittmann
Hi folks,
I have to write a Visual Basic 6.0 Program and need to uniquely identify a
computer in a network and the user mustn't be able to change that id while my
program is running. So the Volume Serial Number of the HDD isn't a possibility,
because you can set the Volume SN whatever you want and...

If you do a little bit of searching, or I'm sure someone else here will
reply with an answer.... there are sites out there what can clock your
downstream (and probably upstream too) speeds. Or, you can go to some
reliable website, Like microsoft, and download some fairly large file. And

How to connect front audio ports to mobo by
*Vanguard*
I got an Abit NF7-S which has a 14-pin header for front panel audio

right-right pins are also jumpered. So there a
