help!!!! by MiniDisc_2k2

Fan Speed by Frontier
I have an HP742n that is about a year old. Just recently I can hear a fan (don't know, is there more than one in it?) occassionally slowing down and running at the slow speed for a few minutes and then speeding back up. Anyone had this situation before? I don't know if it is a problem or not.

my graphic card require 650mhz I have a pIII 450mhz is that enough? by Kanolsen
I have a PIII450mhz IBM PL300 with 156ram and agp2X, I have bought a dualscreen MSI GeForce4 MX440-8X 64MB DDR AGP, MX440-T8X, Tv-Out, so I can have 2 monitors. The min specification say that I need a 650mhz, but I do not know why that should have anything to do with it - shouldn't it take some of...

Yesterday I bought and fitted a LGE 52x24x52 cd-rw. The physical installation was fine, I re-started my PC (Dell Dimension 400 with Windows ME) and the new drive was automatically recognised on star-up, Windows installed its native software and I checked in the Control Panel to see if the drive...

PC1066 use in place of PC800? by banzai
Can 184-pin PC1066 rimms be used in motherboards based on Intels D850GB chipset? I know that they are designed for PC600/800 rimms. But I was wondering if they would allow the PC1066 to run at 400mhz. I have a friend who has needs expand the memory on a system that is using the PC800's and has an...

Hi all, I just bought a new 40 gb Maxtor 3000LS external (USB) Hard Drive. It seems to work alright as long as I keep on working. At some point, however, and it seems like it's always after the machine has been sitting for a while and gone into screen saver or "hibernate" mode, I'll try to access...
