ATI Xpress 200 chipset & Nvidia graphics by
Larry Roberts
I currently have a Biostar NF4UL-A9 (Nforce4 Ultra) mainboard.
My Athlon64 3800+ should be arriving next week. I was over at Newegg
looking at other S939 mainboards as most user I have found that have
the Biostar NF4UL-A9 say that the board either died after a few weeks,
or had other problems...

Ati's quiet "bait and switch "on the X1900GT specifications.......... by
John Lewis
Since Ati has not been able to supply enough spec-speed R580 cores for
the X1900GT to satisfy current demand, they are quietly dropping the
core clock spec from 575MHz to 512MHz and trying to compensate by
increasing the memory speed. The 'derated' product will STILL CARRY
THE SAME PRODUCT NUMBER,...

ATI-based mobo isn't compatible with a nVidia graphics card? by
Brian Kendig
I posted here recently about a problem I was having: on my new MSI
RS480M2-IL motherboard (based on the ATI Xpress 200 chipset), my new
MSI NX6600-TD256E (GeForce 6600) video card is hanging after a few
minutes of playing a 3D game. I contacted MSI tech support about the
problem, and this was their...

ATITool by
de Moni
Hmmm, interesting. My 6600GT's temps never exceed 63 degrees during
gaming (FEAR demo, BF2 etc.), but as I was OCing I tested ATITool to
look for artifacts and for some reason that simple hairy rolling box
made temps go up to 72 degrees. Hmmm? Does ATITool somehow use the GPU
more efficiently than...

Attenuation of Long DVI Cables by
Will
Has anyone seen figures on how much loss of signal strength (attenuation) is
allowed for a DVI connection, for example between an X800 RADEON video card
and an LCD monitor? I'm looking for the "loss budget", or total
accumulated signal loss that is allowed between the video card and the...

ATTN 77.72 Drivers and Everquest 2 by
Dromiz
These drivers will crash EQ2 and the washed out video fix people talk about
is false. You MUST fix the video every time you reboot the system. This
version and the beta that was release and both VERY poor drivers. Half to
blame goes to microsoft for certif.. this crappy release. They state...

audio codec for Nvidia 3D Vision Player? by
poky patrol
I read the FAQ and it states that if you have WMP11 in Vista installed
then it would use the audio codec from that for the 3D Vision Player
when playing a DVD. It doesn't though and the audio coded selection
box is non-selectable. I then installed PowerDVD10 demo and the Nvidia
Payer sees their...
