8knxp -12v rail by rhogue
Hi, I've noticed that the -12volt rail on my 8KNXP is off by quite a bit. It reads -9 volts. As this is a negative voltage rail, is this any cause for concern, or should I stop worrying and be happy?

GA 8KNXP RH9 Linux problems (repost) by Brendan S (Scratch User)
(sorry posted to thread, when I mean to post as new thread) Hi all I'm running Red Hat 9 on an 8knxp which I bought recently. I have noticed that: RH9 refuses to acknowledge the existence of the onboard lan (despite loading e1000.o as a module) or of the onboard sound. Also, (under kde 3.2.2) I...

Superb Gigabyte support by Moritz Kürten
I had a problem with C'n'Q with the F7 bios for the Gigabyte K8VT800 Pro and Linux. But C'n'Q works well with the F6 bios. I reported this problem to Gigabyte in Germany and they were very uninterested on this problem. Then I contacted Gigabyte support in Taiwan directly and they send me to...

Hello all After going from BIOS F6 to F10 (didn't try F7 to F9) Windows XP doesn't recognize the AC97 sound device. Enabling/disabling it in BIOS doesn't make any change. I have two Windows XP (PRO SP1) installations on the machine and it is the same on both. It's like the hardware just...

8KNXP Passes Gas by Methus
Everytime I shutdown, and it's apparently after all of the running programs have been stopped because the screen is dark and it's a split second before the power goes off, I hear a loud noise through the speakers. It does indeed sound a bit like too many beans. I can not find the source, and...

7VT600 and 7VAXP both funky?! by Ben Simon
I had a 7VAXP which I moved from my workstation to my server. Funny thing happened when I moved it. Instead of putting in an AGP card, I installed a dinky PCI video card. I noticed the thing wouldn't boot. Fans would jerk for a moment and then nothing...but the amber light on the mb stayed on. So I...

Am I alone with this problem? When XP Pro (with SP1 slipstreamed) is installed, the PC powers down just fine, always has. When XP Pro with SP2 slipstreamed is installed the PC will not power down, it goes to a black screen and the only way to shut it off is to hold the power button in. In this...
