Epson CIS by
Nodge
I have an Epson 2100 and in the course of printing approx 75 A3 prints I've
got through 20 ink cartridges. That's about £200 making about £2.66 per A3
print. This is more than I want to pay so I've been looking at CIS systems.
I've always steered clear in the past as a lot of people seem to...

I need a basic b/w laser with low op. costs by
Gerry
I have looked at the CNET site but find that many of the reviews are quite
old. I don't need anything particularly fancy but I do print a lot of pages
off the Internet, so cost and print quality are my prime concerns.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.

I've managed limited network scanner success using Linux's SANE server

OK, I'm trying to print a "form" off the internet, unfortunately when
I print each page automatically has the web page and address on the
top (header) and the page x of x and date time on the bottom (footer).
How do I get rid of these?

Help me help you by
Arthur Entlich
Several times a month I get requests for one of my manuals from people
who have spam blocker filters on their email accounts. In some cases,
it is within their control, and sometimes not (such as the ISP blocking
a broad group of IP addresses from one or more provider).
Unfortunately, my ISP...

Best Ink Printer for Photos by
DennisC
I have purchased two different Epson printers (most recent a R340).
Both of them produced excellent results until they experienced nozzle
plugging/failure in about 18/months. I have a color laser and a
monochrome laser that I use for the majority of my printing so the ink
jet is only used for photo...

Datamax Prodigy Plus Printer...using USB-Serial converter by
Brent White
I have an old Datamax Prodigy Plus printer that uses an RS232
interface. I have a computer that does not appear to have a serial
port on it, so I used a CablesToGo USB/Serial DB25 Adapter and hooked
the printer up that way.
Windows sees the adapter, but it will not communicate with the...

Or the difference between DXY-980 and DXY-990? Also the specs for
1100/1200/1300 would be helpful? I just can't find any information on
the net. If you have...

D-Link DP-301P+ Print Server Install Issues by
Haselsmasher
I bought a used DP-301P+ print server off of eBay and I'm having
trouble talking to it at all. (It's a little box with a parallel port
on one end - connects directly to the printer - and an RJ-45 on the
other end and gets directly connected to the router.)
I get NO indication it's even on my...

Print Servers - Protocol Order by
Geoff Lane
If a print server supports multiple protocols is there a specific order
it uses the protocols in or is this down to the connecting computer.
I assume that Windows networks use their own protocol and I understand
that Linux and Mac use IPP, so what of RAW and LPD etc.

I have both these printers and using OEM ink I can find no difference in the

slightly better in my view but the difference is too close to call.
Leaving aside printing speeds I'm beginning to wonder if there is any...
