How does the IP400 Handle 6x4 paper? by
Mikey
Could anyone tell me how the Canon IP4000 handle 6x4 paper?
Is it the same way that the I865 does it, With a cartridge type system, or
does it have it's own slot?
Thanks For Any Help

Non-US store that will ship a Canon printer to US? by
Lady Margeret Thatcher
I'm miffed that in the US the new Canon printers won't print on CDs,
whereas the same printers sold outside the US will do this.
I've tried to locate non-US stores using Google and Froogle, but that
doesn't work. Way, way, way too many hits.
Can any non-US participant in this newsgroup suggest...

Colour Laser - switch off or use power saving? by
Peter Boulton
Hi,
Just got myself an Epson C900 colour laser. Quick question....
I will probably only use it occasionally (e.g. once every few days). Is
there any point in leaving it powered on all the time? I believe the
sleep mode power consumption is 8Wh. Presumably that means around a
tenth of a...

advice on an HP laserjet 6p by
bullseye
I have an HP LaserJet 6p (a little over 7 years old) and ink (shadowy print)
is finally beginning to streak when I print. (I print about 10 pages a
week.) I suspect the cartridge may finally need replacing. A replacement
cartridge costs about $75 (which I get for free because I have a gift...

Photosmart 1215 problem by
Mitch
Hi,
Does anyone know how to fix the following problem: The paper does not fully
exit (and drop down) onto the output tray of my HP Photosmart 1215. That
causes the trailing edge of the paper to get caught and wrinkled as the next
page begins to print. I have already cleaned and lightly roughened...

Banding on high speed, not on hi quality by
Arthur Entlich
How did you clean the head bottom. It often has a LOT of dried ink on
it, and a partial cleaning may not be adequate to remove all the dry ink
which can cause nozzle deflection.
Also, do an alignment, sometimes stuff that shows up in bi-directional
head movement that doesn't in uni is due to...

Epson CX6400 woes... by
Jimbo
I bought one of these scanner/printers back in Feb. of 2003. Within 8
months it failed. It would power up, only to shut itself off right away.
Epson shipped a new one out under warranty. The new one has lasted about
two months. It still scans, but it is constantly saying there is a paper
jam, but...

Canon Pixma IP4000 cartridge query by
MB_
We recently got this printer and we like it. We are new to digital
cameras/printing, so we have some elementary questions:
Question: how will we know when one of the cartridges is empty? Will the
printer flash and indicate which cartridge? Will it indicate on the
computer?
Also, when replacing...

Some HP Director FAX functions incredibly slow by
[email protected]
I have an Officejet 7310 which I use via a 10/100Mbs LAN. Mostly it
works fine but when I use the HP Director 'Send a Fax' software some
functions are incredibly slow, that is the screen response rather than
the operation.
For example if I ask to see the Fax log it takes a minute or so to
appear...

HP 560C by
David Glass
My HP 560C works fine except when I first start it up it goes through some
kind
of start-up routine and then, as it places the ink cartridges back into
their resting position, it emits a "crunch" sound and all the lights on the
control panel blink. If I turn it off and back on it will go through...

MIO card in HP LJ4+. How much memory needed ? by
John Beardmore
Our 'skip fresh' LJ4+ only has 2 meg of memory.
The MIO card I've just installed isn't working correctly. Is more
memory needed in machines with an MIO card installed ?
Cheers, J/.

Epson R300 - second print slower? by
Spassvogel
This has bugged me since I bought the printer, and I was wondering whether
anyone had a solution. When you print, I've found that it takes little time
to spit out the first print...it's really fast actually, but then if you
start a 2nd print job, it takes 4-6 minutes for it to start that...

I'm sure this has been around a million times, here comes a million and one.
Is the Dell a940 printer the same as the Lexmark x5150? Are the ink
cartridges the same (only cheaper)?
TIA

i960 dead after a few months by

i960 Canon Printer that I purchased a few months ago no longer powers
up. I called Canon Canada and they gave me some spiel that if I
purchase a computer in the United States or vice versa I would have to
go to that country for service. Worse yet I lost my receipt and Canon
USA won't honor...
