Dumb question (apparently, since I didn't find anyone else asking it :) I have an AMD 1800+ CPU on an older main board which has a maximum of 1 GB. I find a few less old SocketA MBs with capacity for 2 GB. If I put it there, is it safe to assume that that processor can access the 2 GB?

My Athlon XP 2000+ (Thnderbird, I think) runs at 77 degrees Celsius during film conversion and MB stays at 35 degrees. I read at AMD that this CPU can get up to 90 degrees. My MoBo is an ASUS A7S333.
