64bit Sempron???? by Finn Stampe Mikkelsen
Hi Several dealers advertise with and AMD 64bit Sempron processor. Seems as though, they consider the new socket 754 90nm Sempron a 64bit processor. However, search on AMD's own website does not support this allegation... Anyone here any the wiser?? Has AMD released a 64bit version of...

64bit vs. 32bit cpu's for an SE7525RP2? by ***** charles
Hi all, I have an Intel SE7525RP2 and I need to get at least one cpu for it. I was looking at Intels' table about the cpu's that go into this mb. Is it true that all cpu's that are compatible for this board run 64 bit software or are some of them limited to 32bit only software? thanks, charles

65nm chips by [email protected]
I just read that the Sony PSP uses 90nm chips and a future version will use 65nm chips to use much less energy. Why doesn't AMD go to 65nm as well? Do you think they're holding off until they've sold a lot of 90nm chips, then they'll start selling 65nm chips? Planned obsolescence?

65w vs 125w by Dave[_33_]
Is there a difference between the same CPU running at 65w vs 125w? I see the same CPU on NewEgg with two different power requirements and I'm not sure what the difference is. Thanks!

754 boards - memory configs by Getho
I'm looking at MSI nforce3 250 or via socket 754 boards. Am I right in thinking that if I want 400 MHZ Ram I can only use 2 dimm sockets - or can I have 3 dimms each with 512 mb? Getho

754 mobo and xp2500+ cpu? by Gordon Stephens
Hi, My current ageing PC seems to randomly freeze on me (been happening for the last 3 months) causing havoc with lost work and so on. I have full AV, anti-spyware, firewall etc and frequently check and clean the setup. I am thinking it may be the Gigabyte mobo that is at fault (though I guess...

754 or 939 by iso
I'm looking to buy a brand new system with AMD Athlon 64 processor. Should I get the 754 or 939 pin model? I see that the 939pin mobo's also support the FX version of the Athlon 64 chip. But are there any performance difference(s) between the two? Is there any reason that I might want to go for...

754 or 939 which is going by Joe
I know 754 is the older socket but when AMD announced the AM2s I thought that it was said that the 939s were history and AMD was going to keep the 754s as the budget line. I just checked on Newegg though and it seems the opposite as 939s were plentiful and 754s were few and far between so what...

90nm process by hchoudhryn222
Hi I was wondering when AMD would be publishing it's first line of 90nm processors so that there may be a chance for current processors to have a price drop. Can there be a small or large price drop on 939 socket processors during or by the end of August.

90nm vs .013micron by Drake
I'm about to buy an Athlon 64 3500+. New egg has one retail @.013 micron for $273 and an OEM 3500+ @90nm for $355. Is the smaller die process worth the extra $80 (& cost of heat sink)? If so, why? Thanks!
