Citizen Bob
I have a need for a "one-click" FTP utility so I can send large files
to various people occasionally. I have about a half dozen full FTP
servers but they all require setup and I do not use FTP enough to
justify doing that.
I need a simple Q&D utility anyone can use with minimum of setup...

Typical mains power for mid-range PC? by
Jon D
How much mains power does a modern systen unit need?
----
In more detail ... I am in the UK.
My existing PC (socket-A 462-pin cpu with 768 MB SD-RAM) uses about 180
Watts at 240 volts of which about 65 or 70 Watts is to power my CRT.
Printers and scanners would be extra.

Can SATA II harddisks be used with SATA I motherboards ?
In otherwords are SATA II harddisk backwards compatible with just SATA ?
Does this motherboard: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe support SATA II harddisks ?
Would I need an extra controller to connect the harddisks or do I simply
connect them

Should RAM timings have to be set manually? by
Jon Danniken
Hello,
I bought a pair of Kingston HyperX RAM sticks, and tried to use them today;
these ones:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820144114
Unfortunately, instead of the 2-3-2-6 timings they are sold at, they come up
(auto) on the board (Epox 9NDA3I) as 2.5-3-3-8 timings. ...

I recently purchased a 300Mhz AMD K6/2 as 300 if the

a 400Mhz chip which I could have probably got for the same
price.
I am wondering whether I should have got the 400Mhz
model an underclocked it at 300Mhz?
I presume there would have been a lot...

Partition Magic 8 is worthless for my system. I have two HD installed

that and allows me to choose which one I want to boot from.
Windows is not as smart - it issues a STOP0x9F POWER_FAILURE error
when I shut down, presumably...

computer - he even refused a Christmas present of one from my brother.
His is I think a P1. It has only 16 MBs of memory. I don't know the
