Michael Gross
On 08/10/11 12:36, S. Josephenne Magana wrote something stupid and it
sounded like this:

IOGEAR DVI KVM Misbehaving. by
Frederick
This seems strange.
I have bought a replacement IOGEAR DVI because its predecessor burnt
up. This one does something the first one never did.
I have two computers. #1 is set to display 1280X768 and the
resolution seems perfect. #2 is set to display 1360X765 and it seems
equally perfect. When...

The data was in the write cache, it wasn't flushed to the disk so it was lost when the computer was rebooted.
Why the hell doesn't Windows flush the write cache when it goes into hibernation?
It does. It can also write some status stuff to the drive...

Thoughts on motherboard by
GT[_8_]
I'm looking for an affordable/budget motherboard for a core i5 2500k system.
I am interested in opinions/alternatives/pointers/pitfalls from an
overclocking point of view. I need on-board firewire, 4 RAM slots and good
overclocking features. I have a Radeon HD 4770 graphics already so I dont...

Dell Optiplex GX60 with Intel 3.0 GHZ CPU? by
[email protected]
My friend emailed me that he just bought a Dell Optiplex GX60 Intel
Tower PC with Intel Dual Core 3.0 GHZ CPU, 2 GB DDR2 memory from
'Woot's merchants'.
I can find no info on such a combo. Anyone have any info?
DELL seems to have discontinued the GX60.
Thanks

hex-shaped, not round
Why did Weller, 20 or 30 years ago, stop making its irons with the
six-sided section, just behind the tip. It kept the iron from rolling
off the table.

Power Management by
Noone
I have cross-posted in ms.public.winxp.gen discussion. USB keyboard won't
allow fans to shut down in power management. PS2 will. Dell PIV 865 chipset.
So far I am understanding that PS2 runs on +5 volts VSB and USB runs on +5
volts. The Dell Foxconn MOBO does not have a jumper for the USB...

Hi all
I have problems installing a Lexmark X1130 on a HP PC with Windows 7. the
Lexmark site states that the Vista driver can be used, but this driver only
accesses the scanner. The printer driver is not installed at all.
Is this a general problem, or am I just being stupid?
Thanks for your...

special round shaped hangers UK with insignias like “Art Class Inside

TV2PC & PC2TV via WIFI for use as a DVR by
John
The subject pretty much says it all.
I see many of the new TVs are WIFI enabled to receive signals from (I
would assume) a computer. I have a home WIFI setup with I5 laptop so
sending cable TV signals via WIFI to be recorded on the laptop seems
like it ought to be doable.
The idea is to avoid...
