$ 6 Investment, Great Returns $$$ by
[email protected]
I started out with $6.00 and six stamped envelopes. Now, I
am making my goal of $700/week. I found this on a bulletin
board and decided to try it.
A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just
like you are now, and came across an article similar to this

$10K to spend on fast server by
Bill
I have $10K to spend on a fast server.
- It will run one application in a single process but is multi-threaded
(+100 at any one time).
- It will run under either Win2K or Linux, whichever is faster
- The application doesn't do a massive amount of file IO and does not
use a relational database.

"A Disk Read Error Occured" error source by
Mr. Frazzlebottom
I have encountered several times lately the boot-time error message "A
Disk Read Error Occured".
Does anyone know the source of this error, i.e. is it the BIOS, or is
it the IDE's boot code?

"automotive grade" hard drives by
[email protected]
We have specialty AV, NAS drives et cetera. I see Toshiba has automotive
disks. The maximum capacity is 320 GB, so I presume these trade off
density to cope with operating in a moving car.
But would not SSD be better for this?

More hard drive stats than I have ever seen. Th4 4th quarter 2016 table covers 79,939 drives.
The lesson is, don't buy hard drives as they are only going to fail ?
