DDR2 Memory by
Bill
I have a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 motherboard which I bought over a year ago to
support the Core2Due (2.4GHz). Back then, I paid quite a bit ($180, I
think) for 2 pieces of Kingston KVR800D2N5, 512MB DDR2-800 memory. It has
latency CL=5. I noticed I can get them now for under $30 a piece, but I...

dazzle
I have recently upgraded my PC to a GA-M57SLI-S4 Rev. 2.0 mobo. I had
everything working, including the front panel, then I unplugged the
microphone and headphone front panel connectors from the motherboard,
plugged them in again (wrongly), so had to replug them the correct way
and now the Realtek...

Gigabyte GA-7VCSV-RH board beep sequence question by
The Derfer
Upon reboot (without power-down) of the PC with my Gigabyte GA-7VCSV-
RH board in it,
I hear one long beep followed by two short beeps.
What is the significance of the beep sequence? Where can I find a
listing of the meaning of the
various beep sequences?
Thanks in advance.

I have a DVRaptor card for DV capturing. It is an old card bought around
2000 but it still works well. During this period, my system has changed from
Asus P3V4X, to Gigabyte 8IGX, to now Gigabyte P35C-DS3R. But it has a
problem with these mobo (I guess it is related to mobo). If the card is...

IDE controller on my 965 - DS3 goes missing sometimes by
greysky
The IDE controller on my DS3 motherboard sometimes decides to take a
vacation. I only have my DVD and a CD drive hooked up to it, so sometimes I
never even know it's gone until I use these devices and they're not there.
In my system settings, there is a yellow exclamation mark next to it (the...

Difference between P35/C and DSR R/P by
Keith
Looking at 3 different Motherboards:
GA-P35 -DS3R
GA-P35C-DS3R
GA-P35 -DS3P
Even when doing product comparisons (newegg) I'm still not clear on what
the differences are between these three boards. Looking to support a dual
or quad core CPU, Vista64 with 4-8GB RAM (but probably DDR2 for now)

Memory for GA-P35-DS3P rev 2? by
Keith
I plan to order as soon as I select a CPU cooler and memory modules. I want
to get 2x 2GB (4GB total) RAM, so that I can leave the other two slots open
for expansion to 8GB (using either Linux or Vista64 so I can take advantage
of the RAM).
The Gigabyte website only lists two 2GB modules that...

Anyone know why a floppy drive would not work on a GA-P35-DS3R

but they just sit there and spin and won't boot or read anything.

System won't boot by
Jonathan M Meadows
I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R motherboard with 6600 core 2 processor.
System won't boot. Cooling fan on cpu runs for about half second then cuts
out (cycle repeats after few seconds). Tried removing everything except
ram and cpu same result. I suspect its a cpu fault would you agree?
