I bought an Asus A7V266-E about 18 months ago. The onboard
cooling fan is buggered and I'm having real problems locating a

Anyone know what the cheapest Radeon retail box with a
Halflife 2 voucher is?
Thanks.
IIRC the only two that did it were the 9800XT and the 9600XT, coming in
at about £380 and £160 respectively.

He rang my door but by the time I got there (a whole 5-10s later) he
was almost out the gate! I suppose I should be grateful for even having
someone come to the door :-)
Ebuyer sent the right stuff though :)

vendor question - sorry if this shows twice. by
Andrew Cowper
Hi -
Has anyone used www.advancetec.co.uk ("Advance Technologies") lately?
I'm looking at an Asus barebones system (pundit ph3). They're about 10
pounds more than www.microdirect.co.uk, but microdirect seem to take a
fair bit of stick here for their after sales service...
Thanks for any...

How long does it generally take for CPU price cuts (such as the ones
announced by AMD the other day) to filter through to vendors?

Alienware or Systemax any good? by
Andrew R. Gillett
I'm about to buy a new PC and have been looking at some of the sites
which let you customize a new PC online.
I've been looking at Alienware a lot. They have a reputation for being
expensive, so I had a look at some other sites to compare prices.
Aria allow you to select any combination of...

Next gen ATI/Nvidia by
Andrew Ratcliffe
Hi all,
Anyone know when the next wave of 3D cards are gonna hit the market? I'm
contemplating upgrading my Ti4200 for a Radeon 9800pro or a FX5900 but
wonder if I should wait until Doom 3/HL2 hit the shelves and see what
happens then?
My system is a shuttle XPC SB51G, so I wonder if the Geforce...

50mm processor fan needed by
Andrew Z Carpenter
Hi folks,
I'm looking for a reputable (and cheap) supplier for
some 50mm processor fans.
All my usual suppliers (dabs, aria, ebuyer, overclock)
don't seem to stock anything suitable.
A google search for "50mm fan" provides several hits
here in the UK, but none of which I've ever heard of,
