Warranty by
A.
I may be buying an item (worth several hundred pounds) from a guy who runs a
shop.
He used his shop to advertise the item, and on Ebay the item was listed
under his shop's listing - not as the item of a private individual.
The item is brand new, but he says there is no warranty on it.
Can this be...

Quick question about Ebuyer shipping by
A.
I'm about to place an order, the quickest option for delivery (without
paying £25 for Saturday) is the Standard Service which will get the goods to
me by Monday.
What are the chances of the goods arriving before the weekend?
Cheers

Verified by VISA - Compulsory? by
A. J. Moss
I've just placed an order for some computer hardware with an online
retailer.
I tried to use one of my credit cards to pay for it; once I had entered
my card details, it took me to a Verified by VISA page, and refused to
let me do anything - either authorise or cancel the transaction -
without...

Ebuyer hard disk packaging woes by
A. J. Moss
I've just bought five 200Gb hard disks from ebuyer. Unbelievably, some
idiot in the packing department put them all together in a cardboard
box, without any packing foam whatsoever. One of the disks exhibits a
fatal fault at 87% when performing a full NTFS format, but the other
four seem to be OK...

Arbico or Chillblast by

I am in the market for a new PC and had come to the decision that I
was going to buy Dell, but I know that I could get a much better spec
system from either Arbico or Chillblast for the same price. Has anyone
any experience of either of these two PC manufacturers especially in

Build your own PC resources by

Could anyone recommend to me a good place to start researching current

Reporting back on RAMBUS RDRAM purchase, and a question by
Abso
So a few weeks ago I asked in this group about compatible RAM for my
system and this lead me to buy 2 x 256 MB RAMBUS RDRAM RIMMs on eBay
for a total price of £75. This was as an alternative to paying Dell
£522 for a memory upgrade as suggested by their tech support pages -
who're they...
