advice....
If you remember I couldn't get the SCSI to get moving....well,
I got a new disc backplane for around 5 of your US dollars (£2.99) and HEY

When I now run SS I get the SCSI's to light up...

Phil
NuTCrAcKeR
Just a side note on the DL580's. got two a few weeks ago and had funky
problems powering up and never booted. Turned out to be blown fuses on the
main boards. Both were surface mount type fuses but were socketed. Replaced
them an worked fine. The only reason I note it, most are not aware...

He listed it for $250 several days back and has now dropped the price...

PXE boot problems on iPaq c500/810e by
msg
Hi all,
Since this a network-centric and Compaq issue, I hope it is
sufficiently topical for this forum...
I posted this in a HP/Compaq support forum and would
appreciate any help from Usenet readers too:

[email protected]
I have a good ol reliable 1600 Proliant running Netware 5.1 on it. I
added a drive to it. Not having any luck expanding the array using
CPQONLIN. I can create a new array with the new drive but cannot see
how to add the new drive to the current array. Any tips?
Thanks

Linux support on older Compaq hardware by
Trojan Hussar
I've recently been running a custom Linux distribution on a variety of
older Compaq Proliant servers, namely 5500 Xeon, 1850R and 3000's.
Being a custom Linux variant (loosely based on RedHat 7.2) there is no
support to speak of for Compaq hardware directly especially RAID cards.
Is there a...

I am having an unusual problem getting FC5 to work on my 1600's. No
matter how many times I run SmartStart 5.50, setting the OS to Linux, I
can't get the OS to recognize a standard connected PS2 mouse. Am I
doing something wrong? I have tried everything that I can think
of...have I, somehow,...

Dr. Anton T. Squeegee
Fellow Compaq folk,
I've got a ProLiant 6500 that came with dual (redundant) power
supplies. One of the supplies has failed, and I will not be able to get
a replacement until Monday.
I seem to recall that there is a way to configure the system to
operate on a single supply, but I can't find any...
