Hi, Got my 8KNXP up and running, no real problems, except the 2 x 256 memory sticks, do not work, they are Elixir brand. Caused the PC to keep rebooting and other stuff, swapped them for an old 256, no brand, and everything works good. So what memory are we to buy that works ok?

The shop where I orderd my Gigabytemainboard isn't able to deliver 2x2GB memory modules. Is there any problem if I take 4x1 GB (Cosair TWIN2X2048-8500C5D)? Or will it run as fine as with the 2GB modules? Will thre be a problem with Dual-Channel support? TIA

Hi. I just built a pro 2 system. What determines the max speed of my cd burner? Is it only the type of blank cd I'm using? Is it determined by which ide and/or master slave it is on? My CD-R specs call for 40x but nero sets it 20x? Fred

Manual says to punch CTRL+F1 to get into advanced settings. Tried this durring and after POST, and while looking at the BIOS menu screen (the one you get by hitting DEL during POST), with no effect. Using BIOS version F6. What am I doing wrong?? Also, is there a way to disable APM on this...
