Graphic Corruption, Is there a way to test the card without a second PC? by
W[_2_]
My PC has developed a graphics display problem. This is while running any
program including Word, Internet Explorer, Firefox etc. It will frequently
display a series of horizontal dashes and the screen keeps flickering and
turning black and then turning back on again. The dashes get worse if...

Silent "thin" aftermarket cooler for 7800GTX card ? by
Lorenzo Sandini
Hello,
I have been using for a while an Inno3D 7800GTX PCI-e card without any
problem, running with its stock cooler (the thin "reference" one).
As I mostly do 2D work on my computer the cooler is very silent, but
when using 3D apps or games, the noise pitch is quite annoying, while
not even...

8800GT length by
dizzy
I keep reading reviews that say "this card is really long, it might
not fit all cases."
Can't anyone measure the damned thing and report, in inches or cm, the
length? Anything less is useless information!

FireGL V8650 Vs. NVIDIA QuadroFX 5600 Review by
First of One[_2_]
The hardware probably don't mean much unless you are a workstation user. I
just read the article for the pictures. Nothing quite like two massive video
cards that don't require a kickstand... ATi even went as far as putting a
gusset in the heatsink plate, making it a semi-stressed structural...

XFX 7950GT 512MB AGP card and faulty drivers with COD4 by
The lowerer of standards G4SDW
Playing COD4 with the latest XFX drivers (this card is still not supported
by the nvidia website default drivers) is almost impossible. Graphics look
terrible, slow, jerky with black objects, even at a small resolution.
Please release some decent drivers soon, XFX!
The latest ATI AGP card looks...

Upgrade question by
RubenD
I have a 6150SE integrated in the motherboard video card, and saw a forsa
512mb geforce 6600 ddr2 very cheap.
Will I see a great difference from running the forsa over the MB one?
I notice the nvidia brand with 256mb cost more. Is forsa an inferior card?
I'm new with the PCIe thing, I was left...

When will buying games be cheaper and better than pirating games. by
Skybuck Flying
Some things to keep in mind:
1. When games cost less than one euro it becomes more interesting to simply
buy the cd or dvd, because downloading would require more money for
electricity.
2. When buying games there is still the problem of requiring the cd or dvd
in the drive, possibly damaging...

FX 5500 = dead PC ??? by

Hi,
hope someone can shed some light on this problem:
When I try to install a Leadtek LR2969 (nVidia FX 5500) AGP 256Mb in my PC,
it won't boot at all - disks spin up, fans run, CD & DVD drive lights
flash, but no BIOS beep and the monitor never seems to receive a signal
(screen stays blank and...

9600GT Card Detailed Look by

Can't vouch for the 9600GT's performance, but nonetheless interesting to see
the G94 core and PCB layout. I wonder if we'll eventually see passive
versions of this card.
