Scroll With Two Fingers? by
Justin[_14_]
I have Windows 7 on my Dell M6500.
Is there a way to set up scrolling with a two finger slide on the
touchpad? My Macbook Pro can do this, and I'm hoping to emulate that as
much as possible on my company issue laptop.

Dell's Recovery Partitions by
Ben Myers[_4_]
I recently set up (actually reset) an Inspiron 1440 laptop with Windows 7 x64 Home Premium using the recovery partition and some of Microsoft's arcane tools. This was sort of slick, because everything including hardware drivers, Dell Dock and other bloatware were restored to the system in about 7...

Dell T7600 on eBay? by
W[_3_]
eBay normally has a good selection of Dell Precision Workstations. I
noticed that the latest series T7600 never shows up on eBay. Is Dell
limiting supply of these to the secondary market?

OT-- Charter Requiring Their Modems? by
MB_
Hoping someone can help. I currently use a Dell desktop, connected to my
Linksys Modem and Linksys Router. I use 3 other laptops and an Ipad, all
working fine, connecting wirelessly.
Anyway, I had to renew some packages with Charter (my 2-year special ran
out). Everything was fine, but they...

Precision T7600 Questions by
W[_3_]
1) The T7600 has two PCIe 3.0 slots at the top. The video presentation
from Dell hints that these are only usable if you have two CPUs installed?
Can someone provide details about that?
I want to use PCIe 3.0 with the AMD 7970 graphics card.
2) In order to get proper support for VMWare virtual...

Replacement Battery Inspiron 1545 by
Rich[_9_]
Does anyone have a good recommendation for an on-line source for a
replacement battery for a Dell Inspiron 1545 or should I just bite the
bullet & pay $150+ for a replacement from Dell? I already have found it on
other sites for less than half so I'm hoping someone has had a good
experience...

Ron Hardin
My Latitude E5400 monitor has gone permanently
dark
Is there a way to attach an external monitor and
get it working "blind"? That is, without seeing
what you're doing to set it up.
I haven't experimented yet.

Are USB monitors plug and play compatible with XP Pro?
That is, will they work without anything other than powering
up being done.
Since the display on the machine is dead.

Inspiron N5050 (and similar) - a step back in system maintainability by
Ben Myers[_4_]
I have a new Inspiron N5050 here, and my client wants me to replace the old-time spinning hard drive with a nice new-fangled SSD. To remove the hard drive from earlier Dells, one would remove 2 to 4 screws, then slide out the hard drive from the laptop chassis. Real simple. Takes a minute or...
