CPU Idle and under load temps? by
Whitesell \(Verizon\)
AthlonXP 3000+ barton
1G PC3000 (2x512)
What's a normal idle and under load temperature for this processor? And is
there a way to measure it on the fly via software? I know you can get
temperature in BIOS but can you get it software on the fly?
Thanks.

I have a Shuttle AN35N Ultra nForce2 board. I use the onboard sound and I

Is 333 FSB backwards compatible with 266 FSB? by
Dan
Hi,
I was planning on getting an Athlon XP 2600+ for my Asus motherboard
(A7N266-E) but I can't seem to find the 266 FSB version. I'm wondering if
the 333 FSB one will work with my motherboard. I'd appreciate any
suggestions.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi:
I have an AMD Athlon 1.4 Ghz. processor on an Asus A7M266 motherboard and it
seems I have something of an emergency. A couple of hours ago the weather
service issued a tornado warning for the area. In the midst of getting
things together there was a very brief power outage but I had the...

1) Don't cross-post but I now have to since you are defaming a good vendor

2) PCLincs are not "no-namers without a reputation to protect" but a
well-respected vendor with open forums where you could have taken this

I use Thermaltake Pure Silent Power PSU's. They're as quiet as you want, as
the rear fan is either manually adjustable or thermally adjustable.

I use the Antec 550 True Control
550W Dual Fan with front panel control for voltage adjustments and fan speed
control. You can set the fan speed where you want it and if the power
supply gets too hot the temp monitor speeds it up to cool down the supply.
I cannot hear it running above the CPU...
