My DB25 connector (used for parallel port) has 2 row
Row A: 13 pin
Row B: 12 pin
How can I find the pin number 1 on the connector. Which direction does we
number the pin ? What is the phylosophy of the numbering ?

Hi folks,
This is my second attempt at asking this. No responses of yet. Puzzling
stuff.

We have a PC that starts emmitting 2 tone beeps and sometime single tone
beeps _AFTER_ post and during normal Windoze operation.

Hi all I have been given a slot1 celeron pc that does not boot. The power
comes on the case fan starts, the processor fan starts and the hard drive
spins up but I get no output on the monitor. I have removed all pci cards as
well as testing without the video card and changing the memory around...

I just installed Win XP on my computer and for what ever reason when the
harddrives are being used constantly the CPU is maxed and everything slows
down. It happens when I listen to mp3 and video. I have a P4 1.8 Gig
processor so it not that. Everything ran fine on my previous operating
systm...

I got an old Sanyo MBC 775 Portable. Due to bad packing and shipping parts
are destroyed so is the EPROM.
Can anyone provide me with the content of that EPROM (a 2764 on the CPU
boards middle) so that i can burn a new one?

im trying to set up a reader, atapi 12x reader and a writer pioneer
105 on my abit kd7 raid board,
does anyone know the correct configuration,
am i better putting the reader as master on ide 3 (raid) and writer as
master on ide 4 (raid)

My hard disk is 60 gig, but only 2 gig is being used by windows 98 and
its apps. I had a thought about popping a 2 gig hard disk in and copying
everything to it, then I could restore the OS and all software
back to original state that it was in, with a simple copy command.
Has anyone done this,...

I've just bought a new Seagate Barracuda 120 G drive, to be used on a dual
boot machine (about a year old) with both Windows 2000 and Linux.
How can such a drive be reset to "virgin", i.e. in the same conditon of
partition table and boot blocks as a new drive?
