Necessary or optional: Clearing CMOS after updating BIOS by
aether
Per the manufacturers website (ABIT), it states one should clear the
CMOS (by moving the jumper off for a couple seconds) after updating the
BIOS. I never found this necessary in the past, and have updated the
BIOS without doing so. All of the additional features in the new BIOS
are available. Am I...

Hello All,
I have a small but mixed environment with Win XP Pro, Mac OS 9.x & Mac
OS 10.x and I am considering putting in a Snap Server 1100 or 2200 (an
Adaptec product) just for file sharing.
I'm seeking any comments / thoughts / recommendations regarding:

disk partitions are 7 GB and are about 60% to 80% full. Now I want to
burn the drive contents to a DVD.
There seems to be lot of DVD burning technologies. Most of them say
"dual sided". Do this mean that both sides...

Doubt regarding 8086 RealMode Address Calculation by
mark_india
In 8086 real mode addressing the 16 bit segment register is added with
16 bit offset and 20 bit address is generated.
Eg:
Case 1:
********
Segment Reg: B230
Offset Reg: 2052
Now the resulting 20 bit address is generated as
Segment reg+ B230+
