Arthur Ricker
At the first BIOS screen hit Ctrl+F1. This will give you advanced BIOS
settings. Then you will be able to select "initialize PCI video first".

Mark
I picked up this motherboard today and installed it. I also got some
Kingston CL3 PC-3200 memory (2x512) running in dual channel mode and a P4
2.8GHz Northwood "C" processor. Everything went well and everything works.
However, I have three questions/concerns...
I have not re-installed Windows,...

Gigabyte GA 8KNXP OC by
Kernel
I have a 2.4 CPU and tried setting it to 2.6 by moving it up to 220 from
the 200
default (200x12)...that set off a loud screech of an alarm and it
crashed. Had to
remove the battery to restore CMOS so it would post. I had set it
before to 210
and that worked okay, so when I was showing off to a...

am having a problem. I don't even know if it has anything to do with the
board, the problem is sometimes when I put a cd in one of the three drives I
have the computer just switches of and reboots, no error messages...

Hi there everyone,
I am very very new to this group as I only got my computer put together in
the last couple of days with a Gigabyte 7N400Pro and an Athlon XP2700.
My friend who built my machine has the same setup and his worked fine

GA-7N400 Pro2 - SPDIF trouble by

Is it enabled in the bios? disabeling the internal sound also disables the

The GA-7VTXE and the 7VTXE+ besides ATA100/133? Spotted a couple of

some bad capacitors. Also, would I be able to get away with swapping
my standard out with a + without having to re install the OS (WinXP)?

Which memory modules recommender for GA-8KNXP by
Migel
Hi,
I am planning to buy the GA-8KNXP this week, but everywhere I checked I
found that the recommended modules for this board are Corsair's.
Unfortunately Corsair is not available in my country, so I was looking for
other options. Note that I am not planning to overclock the memory.
The modules I...

Gigabyte SINXP1394 InfraRed / IrDa / IR Problem by
Stew
I have a Gigabyte SINXP1394 Motherboard (running version F6 BIOS),
which has a standard 4-pin Infrared/IrDa/IR header on it. However,
there is no BIOS option to enable using the onboard IR port (which
should replace a COM port).
I bought the module, and at a friends place soldered it together...

8INXP and 8x AGP by
Nate Grey
Hi All,
I have an 8INXP and a Creative TI4800 AGP graphics card. In the Bios the
only settings for Flexible 8x AGP are Auto or 4x. I ran PCmark2002 the other
day and it said my motherboard was 2x enabled, so I changed the bios from
Auto to 4X, and now PCmark says 4x enbled.
The thing is my...

Following on from my earlier posts, I have been having major hassles trying

should use matched pairs at the time!!
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I've now fitted 2 matched Crucial DIMMs
and my question is - do I need...

I have a P4 2.8 GHz (533 FSB) running on a Giga-Byte GA-8PE800 Ultra

I was wondering if I changed the board to one that ran memory in dual
channel mode (such as the Giga-Byte GA-8IK1100 or GA-8KNXP Ultra) if I
would see any...
