F5 BIOS, observations by Richard Dower
In relation to the GA-K8NXP-9 motherboard. I see no major difference with this BIOS over the previous F5i beta BIOS. But one nice thing i did see added was during the main BIOS page there is new information displayed that says "memory controller - dual channel, 128 bit". This is new and was not...

Hi, I just got a new PC with the 8IPE1000 Pro 2 MB. 1) The Giga Byte Face Wizard doesn't work. It just freezes up after a while and a few minutes later says it can't read from a bin file. (I'm using a logo from their own website) 2) Easy Tune 5 doesn't work. The CIA/MIB tab is grayed out and this...

K8-NXP SLi RAID "funnies" by Stu Plaister
Hi everyone I've just built a K8-NXP Sli based system - 1Gb RAM, Athlon 3200, Gigabyte nVidia 6600 graphics card. Having read about the problems people have had configuring SATA boot, I was getting a bit concerned, but mine seemed to build just fine. Using the nVidia SATA connectors, I had a...

K8NS Ultra: are sata ports locked to pci ? If yes, nvidia pair or sil3512 pair by JK
Hi I am going to buy this board for doing some OC. Hopefully some 25% only, with a winchester 3500+. My question is for SATA ports: are they locked to pci (which is locked by chipset) or not. It has 2 nvidia sata ports and 2 sil3512 sata ports. Which pair is best (locked) ?

I've tried everything I can think of, including downloading the usb 2.0 drivers for my board from the gigabyte site. I'm trying to connect my Motorola Razr using Mobile Phone Tools and it doesn't seem to want to work. It works fine on my other computer though. Any ideas? WG.
