What technical differences are between SATA and ATA?

My computer login page changed to something like Win2000 and the users do not displayed. I tried to change the setting in the Control Panel|User Accounts|Change the way users logon or off, but do not works. How can I switch to the original WinXP login page?

My Windows XP do not know my secondary master hard disk drive (sometimes).

:evil: i am still running both h/disk right now .. but with XP+office only...installed on 40Gb and i used the Partition Magic 8 to unalocate the bad sector area and that caused around 21GB loss in 80Gb h/disk and 8Gb in 40Gb :mad: but thats not the permanent solution!!
