4 tank Canon i865 verses 6 tank i905? by Hughy
Someone recently posted a comment that although happy with the i865, they're starting to wish they'd bought the 6 tank version of the i865 (presumably they meant the i905). Do the extra "photo" colours make a big difference to the casual observer if you generally print to hi res paper (and direct...

4-color vs more-color printers by Scott Cameron
I'm looking into buying a printer for use with professional graphic design doing comps and such before I take it to a printer to output the final product. I'm wondering if anybody knows of any practical differences between 4 color printers and the printers that use a 6 color (or even 7...

4in1 vs. 3in1. Price? Make? by Jack Ricci
A local store is advertising a 4 in 1 printer/copier/scan/fax Brother MFC-3240 color-sheet-fed all-in-one for $49.98 after easy rebate. You actually pay $89.98 out the door and send for the rebate. My question: I don't need anything fancy, just the simple functions that it advertises, in particular...

4mp fuser replacement help by Curmudgeon
Anybody remember how to get the fuser out of a 4 mp. Someone suggested it came out the back door of the printer, and there IS a green pushbutton flange in there...but pushing it does nothing to let the fuser move. If that isn't correct, how do I get the case off the damn printer itself? Thanks

4x6 Kirkland Photo paper by Burt
Many of us have been using the Kirkland glossy photo paper in Canon printers and have found it to be excellent. It comes in 8.5x11 size in boxes of 125 sheets for $19 US. I see that they now have what is labeled as the same paper in 4x6 size. Although the labeling is the same, the 8.5x11 is...

4x6 printer by slld
Thanks to all who responded about the 4x6 printers. I had leaned toward the picture mate by epson until I read all the problems with the compatible carts. I will NOT buy at this time due to the printer companies selling ink and not printers. When they go back to printers, I might buy one. Slld

4x6 prints with white borders? by Hoyt Weathers
I am new to color printers. I have an Epson Stylus C86. So far, I have only printed 4x6 prints. My problem is that there are white borders on the left and right sides of the prints. I want borderless prints. How do I set the printer, or something else, to make these white borders go away? Thank...

500-sheet paper trays for LaserJet 4 & 4+ by DB.
An optional 500-sheet paper feeder (C2083A or B) was produced for the LaserJet 4. Later (on the introduction of the 4+) a modified feeder was produced (C2083D). This is backwards-compatible with the L/J4 but the earlier feeders are not suitable for the L/J4+. (see http://tinyurl.com/ndvu). I...

5100 Answering phone by G Valley
My 5100 acts like it is receiving a fax after I answer my phone. It doesn't matter how many rings it takes, more than one, if I answer on the second ring about 15 to 20 seconds into the conversation the "fax receive tone" will start. Very aggrivating and I don't know how to make it stop. Any...
