Hi there, this may be a dumb question but trying to get my system working. Have the above MB with 1.5GB RAM, a Seagate 120GB SATA HDD, couple of CD Rom's on Secondary Controller. Want to know if the above drive can work by itself, or is it strictly RAID with IDE drive off Primary Controller...

Totally confussed - A7V333 by Bob
The motherboard I was using on my second box got fried in a thunderstorm last week and a mate has given my an Asus A7V333 that he had spare as a replacement. It's got rev 1.04 etched on the board, other than that I haven't a clue what BIOS version or anything as I haven't installed it yet. I'd...

P4C800-E Bios Update P4cED17 (1017) by Bob
Did Asus pull this Bios update. The only update that's listed on their Download page is P4CED16. I had downloaded P4CED17 some time ago but now I'm afraid to use it. Is there something wrong with 17? Thanks! Bob

+P4C800-E and an Antec 1080 case by Bob
I'm about to install a P4C800-E in an Antec 1080 case. The case that I bought (Used) has the two front case fans installed. These two fans have a standard 4 pin header for power but also have a yellow wire. I'm assuming that the yellow wire is for temp. sensing? Where does this wire go to? Bob

I'm in the process of setting up a P4C800-E and a Pentium 4 3.0mb Prescott. I would like to (need to ) dual boot from XP to ME. Do I have to disable Hyper-Threading every time I need to boot to ME? Is there a windows program or even better yet a dos program that would let me disable...

P4C800-E and Windows 98 by Bob
I'm trying to run a duel boot system with XP and 98. I didn't have any problems setting up and running 98 except that I can't get 98 to see the SoundMax drivers. I have downloaded the SoundMax drivers that Asus says will work with 98 but these zip files are just several files and there isn't...

Data Loss on P4P800 Deluxe by Bob
I have googled this and didn't find any solutions. I have a RAID 1 setup with the onboard VIA controller and have random files disappearing. It happens very infrequenly but is very obvious when it does. For example, I can transfer some files from my main hard drive to my mirrored set and...

A7V8X by Bob
I want to disble the onboard ethernet and I flashed the latest BIOS but do not see an option to do so. The reason I want to do this is that I put in a wireless card but the system freezes, the video compresses, or the card isn't recognized. The system works fine without the card and I have heard...

A7M266 OK With ATA/133 in Win98SE? by BoB
The ata133 hard drives will run on that chipset, but at ata100, however since no hard drive ever uses much of the bus speed, except during a burst(when reading to/from the cache), the ata100 will not slow it down. Large hard drives above 132 gigs, will be the problem! Your bios must support, and...
