Nforce4 K8 Triton + 4x PC400 DDR DIMMS = PC333? by
Doug McLaren
I've got a nForce4 K8 Triton board -- GA-K8NF-9 board with an Athlon
64 3000+.
With two 512 MB PC400 DIMMs, memtest reports the memory speed as PC400
and it is stable.
With four 512 MB PC400 DIMMs, all identical, memtest tells me that the
BIOS has the memory speed at 333 MHz by default, and it is...

it's identical to any of the following that are listed:
8i848P (rev 1.x)

7VM400M-RZ PROBLEM by
dougthered
I've just built a system around this board and I can't get it to recognise
the proper processor speed ( athlon xp 3000+ ) .
In the frequency/voltage part of the BIOS it won't let me change the CPU
clock to anything above 132mhz and that just makes it hang.
What CPU speed should I be using and how...

Older BIOS for GA-686BXDU mainboard by
Dr. Erik Vogelsang
Is there a chance to get an older bios than the two versions still provided
by gigabyte?
Both F1 and F3e don't boot from SCSI-CD-Rom. I can't get Win2k installed.
So I would rather go back to version 2.6 (?) and do without ACPI support.
Where could I get that BIOS version?

Anyone tried the F12 BIOS for the K8NNXP? by
Drainpipe
I'm using the F9 BIOS now without any problems, but it does give an
odd "no drives found" (or something) message on bootup, even though I
boot fine to the SATA drive and have been running like a dream for two
months like this.
When I tried the F11 release, my SATA drive was finally detected...
