MikeG
I get an error when running the adu on a 3200 controller. "Error occurred
readinf RIS copy from scsi port 1 drive 3". Compaq's site lists the error
and says if other errors occured the drive should be replaced. In my case
there are no other errors. The The acu knows a drive is attached but...

I just had a hard drive fail! by
Guy Macon
....so I pulled it and put in a replacement, and the array controller
filled it with the exact same data that was on the bad drive.
I didn't even have to reboot.
Life is good when you use a Compaq server as your desktop PC. :)

ProLiant DL320 by
Torsten E.
Hi there,
some days ago I got an used Compaq ProLiant DL320 system.
Now I installed linux on it (SuSE 9.2), and it runs pretty fine.
But: when I execute 'shutdown -h now', all services are stopped, but the
system keeps running (it does not shutoff itself).
Just to ensure the system is able to do...

arsMatrix
Does anyone know if the Compaq / Foxconn P/N: 179616-004 heatsink is
compatible with the Proliant 5500 6/500 2MB? Other than colour, I can
see no differance.
According to the Proliant 5500 Specs Compaq / Foxconn P/N: 179616-002
is required to cool xeon processors. Naturally as soon as you need...

Tony Bennett
Hi
I know this is a Compaq group, but I also know there's some real gurus here.
Just bought a Netserver LX Pro - Quad PPro, Netraid, 1Gig ram.
Really want to install Centos 4.
Tried that, tried SLes9, tried Ubuntu.

Adding backup device to Smart Array 431 by
[email protected]
Hello,
New to SCSI - I have tried everything to add my Dell Dat24 (model
STD2401LW).
I'd expect to see the device on boot and then in Windows, right? I've
removed all the jumbers from the set of 6 jumpers (as it is on the
drive) and nothing.
Its a test environment, all I have is one SCSI disk...

HP ML110 and USB 2.0 cards by
JM7
I have a HP ML 110 running with SBS 2003 server. I have tried to install a
USB 2.0 PCI card but it fails to recognize it as USB 2.
Any suggestions. There are only 2 PCI slots and I have tried both.

re-flashing aha-3960d by
Steve
Is there any way of reflashing one of these? I had it in a 32 bit slot,
and tried upgrading, and it crashed the system and the card is now
invisible.
Where do I go from here?

Adding RAID to an ML370 or ML350 by
Hank Arnold
We are configuring some ML3x0's for RAID. There are two scenarios:
1) Upgrading an ML370 G2 server that has 6 drives and no RAID. We want to
construct it so that we have a RAID-1 C: drive and a RAID-5+1 (or RAID-10)
D: drive.
2) Configuring a new ML370 G4 (and 350) with 8 drives (using the cage...

Proliant 1600 loses timesettings by
NuTCrAcKeR
are you truely running ' NT ' , or are you calling 2000 'NT' ?
It sounds to me like you may have a sick server, certainly from the losing
time perspective.
within your OS, i would setup performance monitor traces to see what was
happening with the system. There are other 3rd party tools, like...
