GA EP45-UD3P dual Gigabit Ethernet lost Mac Addresses-- again. by
Fishface[_2_]
For the second time, my EP45-UD3P has lost it's MAC addresses.
This occurred most recently after a windstorm caused power outage.
By flashing the BIOS with the QFLASH utility in the BIOS setup and
unchecking the option to keep DMI data, then loading BIOS defaults,
they came back. Solution was...

They Hate Every Board by
[email protected]
I want to build an inexpensive system and have been looking at the
MA785GM. When you go online to someone like NewEgg, you invariably see
all the people that hate the board. This is true for every motherboard
under $100 from any manufacturer.
It is making me crazy. Any recommendations for a low...

Why is DRAM voltage increased to over specification? by
John Doe
My memory Kingston KVR800D2N5 should run between 1.7 and 1.9 V.
but for some reason my GA-EP45-UD3L sets the DRAM voltage to 2.0
V. In the BIOS, the DRAM voltage setting says "1.8 Auto" even
though EasyTune says it is at 2 volts. So I manually changed the
Auto entry to 1.8, and now EasyTune says...

Mark West[_2_]
Hi all,
Bit concerned by reported temps (using HWmonitor & CoreTemp). System idles
at ~52C (CPU is clocked back to 2400MHz).
Under 100% load (using Prime95) the CPU's at 4GHz and I'm getting a reported
100C reading from both apps :-/
Oddly, the CPU alarm in the BIOS is set at 80C and it never...

NetBook That Renders 1080? by
(PeteCresswell)
Are there any netbooks out there now or on the horizon that will
render 1080i video?
I'm guessing that would involve inclusion of one of the new
GeForce graphics chips.

Motherboard MA78G-DS3H 1 year old, about 7 months only in daily use.
Since yesterday I hear a squeaking, whistling sound with constand frequency from

harddisk death but definitely the sound does not come from any moving...

Have Q9550 & DDR2-800, which motherboard? by
John Doe
Which Gigabyte motherboard would you buy if you had a Q9550, four 1GB
modules of DDR2-800, and a GeForce 7950GT/500, and an SSD main drive?
Would you ditch the DDR2 memory and go for a GA-EP43T-UD3L and buy
DDR3-1600 memory modules?
I play Forged Alliance and the upcoming Supreme Commander 2,...

Motherboard options: PCIe 16, 8x or 16, 4x by
Frustrated
I'm looking at mobo longevity here as well as video and peripheral
upgradability (future proof). Should one spend the extra money and buy
a mobo that has PCIe running x16,x8 vs 16,x4? Basically, I am
considering the Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P or GA-P55A-UD3P.

win7 vm on ep45-ud3r by
tlviewer
List,
MB: ga-ep45-ud3r
CPU: Intel LGA 775 E7600 C2Duo running at stock speed
RAM: 2x2GB at 800 MHz
Using latest bios (F11) memtest86+ passes fine.
I might have some bad bios settings that are fouling up virtual
machine installs.
