GA-5AX rev 4.1 memory by
A.R.Mills
Reference the GA-5AX mainboard;
The manual says this board will take 256MB modules (max. total
3x256=768) ECC or non-ECC RAM.
I am trying to use 256MB sticks of ECC PC133 ram but I just get the
'can't find memory' bleep at switch on. (I had the memory checked
professionally and it is OK)
I've...

Use of ATI Radeon 7500 (AGP 2X./4X) on a GA-7N400-L by
Len Kelly
Does any one have working knowledge that the ATI 7500 can startup on
the nvidia 400 ultra board? There is a warning in the Manual that
only 8X/4X cards should be use, yet it gives some examples of some 4x
card cards being successful. I currently use a motherboard that can
barely do 2X.
I hope...

Unstable memory in Dual channel by
David
I've just installed some Kingston 2x512mb 400DDR memory on my new GA-7N400
PRO. The problem is that the system locks when I put them in Dual Channel
slots (1&3) but works fine in 1&2.
Have I missed something in the BIOS? I can't see anything and the memory is
compatible with the...

Motherboard Utility? by
Brett...
My old Asus mb had a useful application that ran under Windows and allowed
you to monitor temperature and other parameters.
All that comes with my Gigabyte board is the awful Easitune that appears to
have been written by a 14 year old looking at the design.
Is there an alternative that is easier...

GA-7VRXP mobo killed or just comatosed? by
Mr Greenstone
Hello all. Hope someone can help. Last weekend I was in the process of
upgrading a friend's PC. First job was to replace an ageing, noisy 250W
power supply unit. The replacement was a 250W unit I had recently taken out
of a PC at home and had been in good working order and clean. When I put...

Ok, it's time to reinstall with all the bloated programs and start from
fresh. I have downloaded all the drivers and have the updates on cd from
Microsoft for the security updates. Now, what would be the order to install
all the drivers, like Direct X, the Via 4 in 1's (chipset), the...

Does Speedfan work with the K8NS (non-Pro)? by
Ed Masters
Hi,
I am thinking of choosing the Gigabyte GA-K8NS for my upgrade to a
Sempron 3100+. However, being a bit of a quiet PC freak, I would like
a board with a fan controller that is capable of stopping the CPU fan
at idle (made possible due to the low idle power use of the CG rev.
A64 core and the...
