Manda Luyong
We have 29 PCs at our lab with this board. All PCs have PIII 700s on it.
If you go to the link below, it will tell you the CPUs it support:

quest of p55 whitepaper or info to induce 3x multiplier by
Joe
I've recently dug up an old socket 7 mobo and a late production p120. The
chip does 2x75mhz and would like to try 3x but unforunately the mobo isn't
working properly. I would like to find out which pin to pull up/down on
the chip itself so i can see if 3x75 will work.
I've scoured the net and...

3rd-generation Itanium disappoints by
Trzgn Mzlplks
Top-of-the line IA64 (Madison) is 1.5Ghz with 6MB cache.

No thanks, I'll take a Pentium 4 3Ghz -- and an order of fries with that.

pIII sustained integer performance problem by
Kamen Yotov
My intent is to detect the number and type of functional units in a CPU with
running benchmark tests. Just for the sake of clarity I will talk in "C"
below, although, be assured I looked at the assembly and it is what you
expect.
If you repeat "r1+=r2" on a X GHz P4, you get 2X BIPS (billion...

P4 2.8GHz by
Roger Gelder
I see there is a new P4 Northwood out - 2.8Ghz, 800MHz bus.
Could this be used in an Intel D850MV with a 400 MHz bus, or
must I stop at the 2.6GHz, 400MHz bus?
Present cpu is a P4 1.8GHz Willamette.
Cheers,
RoJ

D845pebt2 Board by
Manda Luyong
Don't have your type of board but it seems like you have the HD LED wires
backwards. Unplug the wires, rotate 180deg and plug it back in. Looking at
the diagram of the board, it shoud be on pins 1 and 3.

Graphics card: is a fan essential? by
Anthony Campbell
I recently changed the fan on my graphics card (Riva TNT2 Model 64)
because it was noisy when starting from cold. However it now makes a
loud hum all the time which is annoying. What would happen if I
unplugged the fan? Stop working, blow up the chip, or what?
