bigpond
I have installed an AMD 2400+ but on start up (and in Sandra) it is reported
as an AMD 1800+. I have tried changing the dip switches but this had no
effect - does anyone know why this is?
I have of course cleared the CMOS memory

After running several "stress" test, I am getting errors.
Specifically, I ran Prime95 and memtest.
I am perplexed, however that when I run my "Easy Tune 4" program to
monitor my CUP temp, it NEVER goes about 43c., no matter what test
I run. Is this "normal" ?
thanks

Miss the CD for GA-8KNXP by
Dima
Just bought refurbished GA-KBNXP and realized that CD that comes with
original factory packaged board is missing.
Do you have any pointers when can I download it? I looked on Gigabyte
site, but didn't find s/w there - only drivers updates.
Actually what I need is only part required to install the...

Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro: Decent Board or Crap? by
Tripper
Ordered refurb'd fm Newegg for $70. Worth it or spend the extra
$30-$50 for a top-flight nF2 Ultra 400 board?
Found only one review at SubZero.com and several "slow post" and
RAID/memory post probs in these NG's.
Would like to hear from Pro owners but any input is welcome, thx all.

GA-5AA, ATI Mach 64 and Win2K by
Simon Elliott
I've recently acquired an old box which I was hoping to rebuild and pass
on to the children as a games machine. The previous owner successfully
used it under Win98 so I'm fairly confident all components are
functioning. The processor is an AMD K6 400.
Win2K Pro SP3 has installed successfully on a...

No Gigabyte Support In UK by
Stephen
Anyone in the UK beware that despite what's published in the Gigabyte
motherboard manuals and on their web site there isn't any support of their
products in the UK.
I've recently sent them an email to the address as stated in a manual from a
motherboard newly introduced to the market plus filled...

First delete always TERRIBLY slow. GA-8IK1100 by
Rich Heimlich
I just bought this board and so far, everything has been very solid with it.
I owned a Maxtor 120GB hard drive (7200 RPM, non-serial) that worked just fine
in my last system. Upon re-installing the OS here (XP Pro), I have one strange
problem.
The very first thing I delete, of ANYTHING, be it a...

Dale Frameli
Anyone out there with a GA-7NNXP have a modem installed? If so, which
PCI slot do you have it plugged into? Is it working reliably?
Same question with regards to installing a alternate sound card into a
reliably working PCI slot. :)

Bizarre problem installing Windows XP on GA-7N400 Pro2 by
Doorg Reater
I have installed Windows XP from scratch after installing new GA-7N400
Pro2.
What is weird is that Windows "forgets" each driver instal. I will
install a driver, check that it works correctly, but after restart, it
will show this device as not having any driver installed. When I press
"Update...

What Drivers? by
Si
I was browsing the Gigabyte website the other day ( I know, get a life!) and
I checked out the driver section for my GA-8INXP. There were a few things
there but I wasn't sure if I needed to download them or not.
So, my question is, how do I know what drivers I already have and which ones
I should...

8KNXP F6 RELEASE AND FIREWIRE timeout issue by

I have narrowed a problem down to f6 release version of the bios and
any ADS Firewire Kit, I have not tried others yet cause I own 3 ADS, I
do know they use the standard OXFORD 911 bridge boards in the kits and
they have the latest bios in them.
ANY THE ISSUE:
Under F6 of the bios at bootup will...

GA-8INXP by
malcolm dunn
I am trying to configure my motherboard to run at 800MHz FSB since I have
just bought an 800MHz CPU and DDR400 memory.
The E7205 chipset supports the required 200MHz base clock easily and the
BIOS allows you to enter any clock speed from 100 to 300, so theoretically
it shouldn't be a problem.
BUT,...
