F Flash
Yes this is possible, I did it last night after reading several different
sources and being told that if I didn't install the SATA AHCI drivers by
doing the F6 thing during windows install that it was necessary to reinstall
windows. I almost wept as I'd just spent days installing windows,...

The software comes with my p35c-ds3r. Is it supposed to be a trail version
only? I am not able to find any cd key for it on the envelop nor inside the
mobo packing.

I updated my bios for this motherboard as specified and now the device
manager detected a new multimedia audio device. My sound still seems to be
working ok. I downloaded the drivers from the gigabyte site for the audio
and what ever the mobo detected apparently isn't packaged into the driver
file....

GA-6VX7B-4X: Problems with booting by
Roger Toliver
I've recently upgraded the processor on this board from a PIII 866 to
a PIII 1.0 GB. After the upgrade the system refuses to boot. No video,
no post, no nothing. I did attach a speaker to the system to check for
beep codes, but it wasn't even doing that.
I went back the the 866 processor only to...

What Memory for 8KNXP? by
suzanne
Hi,
Got my 8KNXP up and running, no real problems, except the 2 x 256
memory sticks, do not work, they are Elixir brand.
Caused the PC to keep rebooting and other stuff, swapped them for an
old 256, no brand, and everything works good.
So what memory are we to buy that works ok?

F5 BIOS, observations by
Richard Dower
In relation to the GA-K8NXP-9 motherboard. I see no major difference with
this BIOS over the previous F5i beta BIOS. But one nice thing i did see
added was during the main BIOS page there is new information displayed that
says "memory controller - dual channel, 128 bit".
This is new and was not...
