GA-7VT600 1394 bios/reboot woes by
Pimpbot 5000
Newly purchased a GA-7VT600 1394, put in an Athlon XP 1500+, and it
mostly works fine. Occasionally, though, after a reboot, I will get a
blank screen, and the HDD LED will be stuck on. It never reaches the
POST screen showing BIOS info, memory test, etc. Just stuck there with
a blank screen and a...

GA-8IRXP by
Michael Fritz
Hi,
just thinking about spending my GA-8IRXP motherboard a new processor to
gain a little more speed. Do you know which processors can be used above an
Intel 1.6 P4 Northwood?
BTW: I overclocked already this CPU to run at 2GHz. Though it should be a
faster than that - if possible with this...

Norton Internet Security 2004 seems to upset certain of my Internet Explorer

driver pages won't come up.
See http://www.gbt-tech.co.uk/Motherboard/Support/Driver/Driver_List.htm for
example.
When I uninstall NIS2004 the...

How does Gigabyte do its naming by
Gorby
I'm a newbie to gigabyte motherboards. So far I have had no problems
with the board. I have a P35C-DS3R.
My prior motherboards have been ASUS. And I was able to understand what
the naming of a motherboard meant.
Please correct me if I am wrong!

7N400 Pro2 BIOS F5 by
jpsga
Greetings,
For the first time since this board went into service last January a BSOD
came up near the end of a Quicken 2005 install.. This was a real surprise as
this board and XP Home have been nearly flawless performers..
The error screen announced "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Then STOP:...

Skybuck's universal code by
Skybuck Flying
I have updated this section to prevent any further confusion:
"
Data bits:
a,a,a,a,a,a,b,b,b,b,b,c,c,c,c (these bits can have value 0 or 1)
"
(Since some people though these aaaa, bbb, ccc bits behaved like unary
encoding (all ones or all zeros) This is not the case.

I'm in the market for a SFF PC that has at least two PCI slots and one AGP

this PC for a Windows Media Center 2005 PC. I need two PCI slots because I
want to have dual tuner capability and HDTV. I'll probably use an Athlon...

DDR2 Memory by
Bill
I have a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 motherboard which I bought over a year ago to
support the Core2Due (2.4GHz). Back then, I paid quite a bit ($180, I
think) for 2 pieces of Kingston KVR800D2N5, 512MB DDR2-800 memory. It has
latency CL=5. I noticed I can get them now for under $30 a piece, but I...

A couple of years ago, I got a GA-7ZXE Rev 5 board with an AMD Athlon.
Great board! Back then, I had a 40GB hard disk to used with the
system. Works fine and no problem with the BIOS. I am using Windows
XP Home.
Now, I have a new 80GB hard disk and for some reason, the BIOS is only
