Thorsten Tarrach
Hallo,
I have a GA-8PE667 Pro (rev 1.2) with a P4 2.4 GHz (without Hyperthreating).
The problem occured the first time after I had removed the processor
heatsink completely and then reinstalled it. There is no mechanical damage
now. The computer, however, didn't boot. Everything sounded normal,...

PC shuts down after 5 seconds! by
John Morens
Hi there,
Just built a PC using the Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 motherboard. The problem I
have is that after 5 seconds of switching it on, it automatically powers
itself down. The only things I have connected is the cpu, graphics card, and
1 memory chip in DDR slot1. I have the clock switch set to...

Hi all,
My saga continues. I'm installing a GA-7N400 Pro2 fixed my CPU recognition
problem but was having problems getting my two WD drives to boot into XP as
master/slave on the RAID channels as normal ATA. Anyway, I set BIOS to RAID
and on the Gigabyte I set the RAID to "normal". It state an...

AMD 2500+ Oc by
Art Wakefield
I recently bought a Gigabyte 7NNXP and am just fooling around with the
EasyTune. After some fiddling I pumped the RAM up to 200 and now it shows
my 2500+ running stably at 2205 and never over 62c. Does that mean my CPU
is running comparable to a 3200+? Is it ok to run it that fast?

QUESTION: 7VAXP mobo, RAM question by
Jim Howe
I installed a 512 MByte PC2700 ECC Registered stick in my
GA-7VAXP mobo; yesterday I installed a second 512 MByte PC2700
ECC stick, this one "unbuffered" - well oops. Forgot all about
the particular kind of stick I had originally installed nearly
a year ago.
It (the mobo) doesn't seem to like this...

GA6VX7-4X poly fuse by
Moonstruck
I have a GA6VX7-4X (rev 3.2) that is working (i.e. it boots fine). But I can
get no keyboard or mouse input. (I've tested the KB/Mouse... they're OK) I
notice in the specs that this mobo has a 'Poly fuse' that protects the
kb/mouse/game port.
Is this a user-replaceable fuse? If so, where on the...

What Memory for 8KNXP? by
suzanne
Hi,
Got my 8KNXP up and running, no real problems, except the 2 x 256
memory sticks, do not work, they are Elixir brand.
Caused the PC to keep rebooting and other stuff, swapped them for an
old 256, no brand, and everything works good.
So what memory are we to buy that works ok?

GA-7N400 pro2 F5 BIOS? by

I think I have messed up good and propper!
With my new (fool-proof for BIOS flashing) Dual Bios board along with the
@BIOS utility, I set about flashing the BIOS. I used the internet update,
and when it came up with F5, I went for it.
Trying to sort a problem i'd been having with the PC freezing...

Anybody tried the K8VT800 bios on the K8VT800M? by

People do K8NNXP to K8N Pro all the time - similar hardware - so I thought
that the same thing might apply with the K8VT800/M, whose only real
differences seem to be the number of PCI slots and an upgraded (...

Capabilities of Realtek ALC655 sound on 7N400Pro2 motherboard by

After having a nightmare two days trying to install XP Pro on my two Maxtor

motherboard support CD. This allowed me to install XP OK.
