Gigabyte or Abit or Asus by
Colonel Blip
Hello, All!
I'm interested in getting a 939 socket m/b and an Athlon64 3000+. I've
always been an Asus m/b person, but thought I would at least test the waters
on views of the Asus vs. other m/b's. Any views on 'best' of these three
manufactures for socket 939?
Thanks.
Colonel Blip.

system crashed and I was unable to boot or otherwise access my disk

overclock=high temps? by
Bitsbucket
Header says it all, I overclocked my 2500+ Barton core to 3200+ speed by
upping the FSB to 200MHz. This results in about a 5 to 7 degree C increase
in diode temp. Should it go THAT much higher? I am using an Antec fan I
picked up at Circuit City, has a copper plate for the bottom and VERY...

New Theory: AMD's CPU Throttling damaged the power supply. by
Skybuck Flying[_2_]
Hello,
I have a new theory how the power supply got damaged:
AMD's X2 3800+ dual core processor has CPU Throttling.
I downloaded a special AMD Software tool called AMD Power Monitor or
something like that.
Which throttles back the CPU when it's idling... then when it needs to do

I have been given a Fractal Design Define XL which as 2 x USB3 ports on
the front I was wondering is there a way to use my old U3S6 card (
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Accessories/U3S6 ) to hook up to these
front USB3 ports or will they only connect to a motherboard...

UPS unit needed for the P4C800E-Deluxe by
jimbo
What is a good uninterruptible power supply unit for the Asus P4800E-Deluxe.
I want to pick up a good one and avoid frying my P4 3.2 and other components
during the many summer brownouts around here.
I have 8 hard drives, 2 dvd drives and a 5550W PS.

Many people ordering BIOS chips for A8N32-SLI Deluxe by
Skybuck
Hello,
I am definetly not the only one with probably a dead BIOS chip for the
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard. (Confirmed by third party bios
flashing service)
Let's recap:
1. Asus sells a motherboard with a bios version which does not
completely support 4 GB.

And I figure I ought to go with a socket 2011 board, the Asus P9X79,

isn't cost -- it's where to put the cooling fan for an i7 processor.
Those i7 cooling fans look like NASA wind tunnels, and they stand so
high off the...
