Can anyone provide any tips or guidelines for tuning my setup?
Or, how about some benchmarking utilities to see if I am getting all I am
supposed to get out of the system? I have several benchmark utilities, but
they just say I ma faster than some, but not as fast as others. This is

I have GA-7N400 Pro2 with a Athalon XP+ 2700 CPU. I have had it for a
couple of years and would like to see if I could get a little more kick
without upgrading the entire system. I am thinking about upgrading the

CPU/RAM Compatibility questions? by
William C
I have a Dell OptiPlex GX280 system that was damaged in the Katrina
flood. It only took a few inches of water but sat in it for about 2
weeks. The case, MB and video are shot. Everything else RAM, CPU and
drives was above water.
Dell has not been reasonable with purchasing just the parts I...

New RAM on GA-7N400 Pro 2 question by
William C
I currently have 1 512 MB PC2700 (333) memory module and would like to go
up to 1 GB.
Should I get another matching memory module, or is it worth it to get a set
of matching PC3200 (400) memory modules and try to sell the old PC2700?
I mean each module cost about $75, is there really that much...

Onboard Promise 20276 - Fix for stuttering in ATA133 mode? by
Will Dormann
I've read messages about this problem and also experienced it myself,
but I was just wondering if anybody has come across any solution to it.
I've got a GA-7DXR+ that has onboard 20276, but when using it in ATA133
mode I noticed stuttering and other multitasking problems. When the HD
is under...

Hello,
I have used the 7dxr with a 1GHz Athlon which I have now upgraded to
an Athlon 2600 (266 fsb), which is the faster cpu this mobo will take.
To use the 2600, you need to have the F10 bios. I have flashed this,
but when I boot, I sometimes see that it is...

P965 DS3 OC by
Whifferdill[_2_]
As I recall, I saw a post that I think was in this NG; it listed the basic
steps to OC this board.
I've gone through the entire NG and can not find it again. It listed
disabling some BIOS temp warnings, and the basic steps to start some
overclocking. If someone would please point me to that...

965P DS3 Case Fans by
Whifferdill
There is only one system fan connection, ok, no biggie. But what
is the power fan plug for? My ignorance is showing..what is a power fan?
Also, using a temperature gun, my Northbridge heatsink reads
58 deg C, the Southbridge is about the same. Seems kinda warm to me.
TIA
