Strange video problem: Random standby mode switching by
ttvp
I have a brand new custom-built PC that I've assembled for the sole purpose
of playing games and absolutely nothing else (to the best of my budget, that
is). I'm having only one problem, unfortunately it is the most frustrating
one I've ever dealt with. Every once in a while, my monitor will...

quick questions regarding Athlon XP by
Strontium
As long as it's a Cooler Master 'retail', you'll be fine. Their retail
sinks are badass. Just make sure it's not OEM. Their OEM sinks leave a bit
to be desired.
If it's retail, you won't even need the thermal grease, trust me.

Also, have these ones now replaced the flower as the 'better' coolers in
terms of noise? Or did the flower occupy too much room?

Advice for new system by
Jack Bruss
My son and I are finally going to replace his old Gateway PII 267, and we
are looking for some advice on what parts to buy to build it ourselves. I
think he needs it mainly for schoolwork, and he, of course, thinks it's
mainly for games. I'm thinking an AMD processor in the 2 to 2.6 gig or...

Anyone have any experience with them?

Options for poutting toegther a mp3 jukebox that can me controled remotely? by
drumguy1384
There are a couple of options from Creative Labs that would suit what you
want to do.
There is an internal sound card option, and an external USB option.
The internal option would be a SB Audigy or Audigy 2 Platinum. These include
a front mounted interface with extra inputs as well as an infrared...

Brand loyality doesn't mean much when it comes to computer components ("here
