Soundblaster 128 to an external synthesizer (Roland JV1010). No problem

Sound Blaster 16 emulation in new systems by

I have a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Digital installed in an AMD PC system with
the motherboard Gigabyte GA-7N400-L (chipset nVidia-nForce2).
I've tried to emulate Sound Blaster 16 in pure DOS with the SBEINIT tool
provided from Creative, but the emulation doesn't work: SBEINIT initalize
correctly...

Audiotrak Maya 7.1 vs. GSIF by

Hi all,
I'm intending to get a Maya 7.1, somehow a guy in a shop told me that it is
NOT delivered with GSIF driver (for GigaStudio use) despite the fact that
Audiotrak (on its site) claims it is compatible !
So who should I beleive ?
Other point : the tech description says it is a 48 KHz card...

No Center channel output on Santa Cruz & Windows 2000 by

Had this Santa Cruz card for years. Running on w2000, never can seem to get the
center channel to play unless I kick my Logitech speakers it into 'matrix' mode, which is
the built in pseudo surround. Seems the card is not outputting the center channel, even
though I'm set to 6 channel...

logoff and logon, it comes back. I have a wireless desktop (keyboard +
mouse) with sound controls on it, but this only started happening a while a

hi all, i'd like to know: is a SPDIF out always a LINE out (not
amplified?)
i've plugged my pc to amplificator thru this SPDIF out but i can still
manage the signal volume from winXP... does this mean the signal is not
LINE?
