US Adapter for UK printer/scanner by
Silicon Strawberry
Hello,
I have a Konica Minolta laser printer and Epson 1260 scanner which were both
purchased in the UK. Does anyone know whether it is possible to get a power
cable/adapter which will enable these appliances to work in the US?
Thanks,
SS

Canon N1240U produces nice image quality but is too slow! Suggestions? by
Peter Sale
My CanoScan N1240U scanner, set to "Color(Documents)" and 300dpi, takes 3.5
minutes (210 seconds) to scan one page of PC World Magazine (actually page
175 of the July 2004 issue). The resulting image quality, a PDF file, is
just fine, but the time to scan this images is more than I care to...

How to modify the Nikon SA-21 strip film adapter to work like SA-30 by
nikonscanner
There is a way to modify the strip film adapter sa-21 to behave like a
sa-30 roll film adapter.
You yust need to open up the SA-21 and join two soldering points.
You can find an image of the soldering points at:
http://nikonscanner.tripod.com/SA-21_to_SA-30.gif
Be aware that opeining up the...

Scanner recommendations by
My View
I am looking for a good quality scanner to scan old marked photos (and
possibly slides and film as well) for final manipulation (if any) in
Photoshop CS2.
Because dollar values vary all over the world (I'm in Australia) it is best
to say that the price of the Epson Perfection 4490 would be the...

Scanning Sketches by
[email protected]
I had some sketches (simple pictures; color) made by an artist that I
would like to get into an electronic format. These sketches will be
customized on the computer with text and then printed. I want them to
retain exactly the quality how the artist drew them. I have a cheap
HP scanner that...

Old 110 Cameras by
Peter Geddes
Not quite sure which newsgroups to post to, but here goes.
I took lots of photos on an old 110 camera (Thats the only name I have for
it) and have many negatives from it.
What I'd like to know is what scanners available today would let me scan
these negatives for printing out later? Most...

Old 35mm Slides by
D. Douglas
Hi all
I have just unearthed about 600 slides taken by my late father about 50
years ago.
Can anyone suggest a scanner that would allow me to put these slides (some
of which are deteriorating) onto CD/DVD whilst at the same time 'touch up'
the problems with these slides.
I have little knowlege...

Where to get a scanner driver by
Princess Morgiah
Hi everyone,
I have a Trust Imagery 4800SP scanner at home which used to be hooked up to
an old Pentium PC of mine. It still is, but the Pentium is now running

Lisa Hetland
My mother (age 77) wants to scan about 30 years worth of 35mm slides to burn

expensive, and easy to use. And the time it takes to scan each one is
somewhat important as well. Any suggestions?

Canon Canoscan vs Nikon IV by
Jen
I've finally decided to look into buying a new scanner, since I finally gave
up my darkroom. After doing some research I think I've settled on either
the Canon LS4000 or the Nikon IV ED (ls 40). I was hoping someone could
break this down for me. I have an HP Photosmart that I've been using...

Scanning Typewriter copy by
Skyfall55
I'm typing pages on a Brother typewriter and then scanning it into MS
Word with my HP 750. The problem is that the HP scanning software adds
gibberish characters and hard returns. Is this because I'm using a
typewriter, or is there a better scanning software out there?
